Dr. Fitzwater has always made sure to guide me to make the right decisions when it comes to my sons medical needs. I am so grateful to him and Saint Josephs Childrens Hospital.

John Fitzwater was our sons surgeon and Dr at St Joseph's hospital. We cannot express how amazing he and his staff were. My brother is mentally handicapped and has had numerous medical professionals taking care of him. We have unfortunately been let down alot. I would not think twice about putting my son, or any family members in his care. We are grateful and blessed that he was the Dr that tool care of our son. The doctor worked around his busy schedule to see us right before the holiday. He was kind and knowledgeable, and made us feel very comfortable.

Dr. Fitzwater took on our 12 year old daughter's cancerous tumor removal and was a crucial part in SAVING HER LIFE!! We could never begin to express how grateful we are to him and his team.

If you are looking for a pediatric surgeon I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. My son was in the NICU at St. Joseph's when he developed an inguinal hernia. The hospital consulted John Fitzwater for a surgical evaluation and we assumed he was a competent surgeon. Let me tell you....John Fitzwater is an unstable man and lacks the confidence to perform even a simple inguinal hernia repair. My wife woke up at 5am with a crying/hungry 3 month-old baby to go have this procedure performed. During pre-op we asked John a few simple questions that any surgeon should know, such as the post-operative complication rates of laproscopy vs open hernia repair. He became flustered and CANCELLED my sons EMERGENCY surgery; stating that "we shouldn't be asking questions at the 11hr hour" and we "lacked confidence" in his abilities. You've been warned. Very condescending and righteous.

Dr. Fitzwater had the most gracious demeanor with our grandson, who was extremely anxious about his toe!. We are very grateful that he will be willing to get the procedure done as he feels very comfortable with Dr. Fitzwater!!

We were sent to Dr. Fitzpatrick (John W.) for our active 10 year old daughter with an epigastric hernia that needed to repaired. His bedside manner with my daughter and my wife and I were top notch, impeccable. We are a very active family and he fit the perfect mold as an aggressive provider. That night post surgery, our daughter was riding her hover-board around the house and the next day she was back at cheerleading practice. There have been no issues and we do not foresee any coming up. I would recommend Dr. Fitzpatrick to any family. 'IF' (I sure hope not) my daughter needs to see another surgeon, it will be him.

He has taken great care of my son & his office staff is EXCELLENT! I feel like I could call any time I have concerns & his nurse is great too!
