I met with Dr Fitzgerald this morning. I found him very caring and attentive in very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. After thorough examination, Dr Fitzgerald explained to me what is going on with me in regards to pain and discomfort in lower part of my body. Explanation was very easy to understand. Rhuematologist that believes dexamethasone is a mineralocorticoid. Shouldn't have a license. Shouldn't be left unsupervised with a fork and toaster. This man saved my life! 16 years ago I woke in the middle of the night in severe pain. It lasted over 6 months and no Dr. could figure out why. I could not even walk with right knee so swollen and painful 24 hours a day. I could not move my left wrist without screaming in pain. And my right thumb was the same. They felt like they were in a Vice Grip. I was passed on from Dr. to Dr. A neighbor friend who worked at UCLA got me into a study and while I didn't qualify for that study, I was sent to Rheumatology and Dr. John Fitzgerald. He did blood test and called me the next day with my diagnosis (correct and rare) and medication. I was out of pain in 24 hours. I still have a condition that I have to deal with and I see him twice a year for follow-up. But my pain is nonexistent almost 90% of the time with my medication. Seriously, saved my life. That one star review is a moron, in my opinion! His review shows that he self diagnosed and just wants a Dr to agree with him.
