John Mitchell Farmer

Dr. Farmer is a excellent doctor. He has good bed side manners. Will hate it when he retires. Staff is friendly.

Needs to hang it up. Pushing hormone pills and hurting patients. Worried about making money. Wish this doc would stop hurting patients.

Dr. Farmer has been my doctor for 37 years. He delivered my daughter and his partner at the time, Dr. Donovan, delivered my sons. Nine-months after my daughter was born, I found a lump in my breast and I brought it to Dr. Farmer's attention. He took my case very seriously and scheduled a mammogram and ultrasound before sending me to Dr. Scott Jones for a biopsy. I was, indeed, diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30. I am now 59-years old and I credit Dr. Farmer and Dr. Jones for saving my life. Dr. Farmer's staff has always taken great care of me, especially Connie.

Dr. Farmer was my mom's doctor, and has been mine since I've been 18 and I trust his experience. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I always assumed I'd have to find a new doctor because he'd retire; seems like it may be in my best interest to find a new facility before he does finally retire. It's been three weeks, or more now; I've lost count....I was told after the initial appointment I didn't need to do anything but wait for annual test results and come back for an ultrasound. I called about about a week after the ultrasound and was asked about the blood work...no one told me I needed to do that before I left the original appointment. I even made a point to verify my next steps before I left that day. I've since had the blood work done. For those keeping score; that makes three trips to the office in a month...and have not heard back. I've called only to be told I will get a call back. I suppose no new is good news?....But I would expect someone to call me with some news because I'm still experiencing the same symptoms. Communication seems to be an issue in the office. Dr Farmer has been my doc for 33 years, seeing me through 2 miscarriages (one a molar pregnancy at 48 yrs old!) and 3 live births, he has always been wonderful in his care of my health and that of my children.

I had decided to see dr farmer so I called to make an appointment. Within 2 minutes of being on the phone I decided I wasn't going to this office. The woman on the phone was one of the rudest people I've ever spoken to, I can't believe they would talk to a potential patient the way she talked to me. She said to me "you don't know what your talking about" and made me feel completely stupid then proceeded to hang up on me. NO ONE GO TO THIS OFFICE, someone needs to learn customer service I had decided to see dr farmer so I called to make an appointment. I have been going to John M Farmer M.D. since I was 16 years old. It broke my heart when I learned he no longer delivered babies. I wish he could deliver my last one! But with that being said, the people there are great, he is great and i recommend his office to anyone!

I've had Dr. Farmer every since I had found out I was pregnant with my second child 21 years ago. He is by far the absolute best! Now my daughter has him as her doctor.

He should lose his license over what he did to my 80 year old mother. She was having hot flashes and he talked her into getting hormones at her age! She wanted to stop after the first which caused severe sciatica-like pain. He talked her into one more. When she asked for her money back, he told her after 2 they wouldn't refund your money. My mother suffered for months with heavy bleeding and a near miss with cancer because of their incompetence. They never said to continue taking progesterone

I seriously wouldn't trust anyone else to deliver my children! He is patient and attentive.

Dr. Farmer is great. I feel that he really listens to what I am saying and is not just trying to get another patient in and out. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Farmer is the best there is! He has been my doctor since I moved to Louisville. I started seeing him in 2001 and was referred by a couple of family members who did not steer me wrong! He has delivered both of my healthy boys (ages 6 & 12 now) and has treated me for endometriosis, fibroid cysts, and hormone replacement therapy. He performed both of my C-sections (as I was unable to deliver either child naturally), and a hysterectomy. He has always been very attentive and professional, but personable. His staff are friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about his treatments. Dr. Farmer is the best there is! He has been my doctor since I moved to Louisville. Dr. Farmer is the absolute BEST! I was in labor for 15 hours and he came in to monitor me and the baby because our heart rates were low. He told me I was going to have an emergency c-section and at least 10 nurses and Dr. Farmer had me transported from my room, to the delivery room with the baby delivered in 15 minutes. Had it not been for Dr. Farmer and his quick thinking, my son, who had a prolapsed cord would not be here today. Dr. Farmer has delivered all three of my boys and I would never go anywhere else. Farmer performed and botched an episiotomy when delivering my 6 pound son. His negligence caused an infection to build in my body for several years before I found out about his mistake. I had 2 surgeries within a month to get rid of the infection. Last fall I began having more issues leading to my hysterectomy and bladder repair. He has cost me thousands in medical bills. His error took away my ability to have more children. Statute of limitations on medical malpractice saved him. Worst Dr ever!

All Around Bad Experience. The office staff took forever and asking me the same questions over and over. Only a minor annoyance at this point. Then after the 5th time that I told them I was a new patient, they informed me that I had to meet with the doctor in his office for a face to face. I was impressed by this, a doctor who actually wants to meet with his patients. But during this meeting, he didn't listen to a word I said and interrupted me several times. I told him about my issues with certain birth control pills, but he ended up writing me a Rx for the same kind of pills under a different name. Anyway, the exam was pretty standard and he left the room, informing me that he would leave my Rx at the front desk. AS I STARTED TO GET DRESSED, HE OPENED THE DOOR TO HAND ME MY RX!!!!! And he stood there with the door cracked while ppl were walking by! I was so mortified, I just froze. I ran out of there as fast as I could swearing that I was done with this doctor. Well when I tried to fill my last Rx, the pharmacy told me that he wouldn't sign off on it because I hadn't made a new appt. Why wouldn't he call me to tell me that?!? Instead I wasted my time and the nice ppl at Walgreens time, just because of this horrible doctor! He has no respect for his patients at all!! All Around Bad Experience.
