I felt that I had to share my experience with Dr. Clements. I had arthritis removed from the middle of my foot. Yes, he told me he could do surgery. Yes, he told me I would have a boot on for 8 weeks. What he didn't explain was that I would have to have a knee walker, could not drive or walk on the foot until I got the boot which was about 6 weeks out from surgery and that I would first have a non walking cast, and that I would be in so much pain. The casual way in which he described this surgery made me think I was going to be able to be up walking with a boot on. I was picturing actually traveling through airports, getting on planes, no big deal. That was so wrong! I am so glad the presurgery nurse at least told me I needed a knee walker so I could preorder it. This procedure went completely different than I expected and I think if Dr Clements were more of a people person he would have explained everything in great detail. Knowing what I know now, and the fact that I still have foot pain, I wouldn't have gotten the surgery from Dr Clements. I would have used Dr Chandler who I am seeing as a second opinion doctor. Surgery for toe and bunion pain resulted in a plate that covers my whole foot. Dr Clements told me nothing about this Now I have extra stress on my ankle and calf. The plate is uncomfortable My foot is not flexible.

I was having problems with my right foot big toe bunion pushing over against my next toe causing infection in the next toe . I asked him about fixing my bunion on my big toe. Instead end up with infection in next toe . He then removed my next toe. I am a very disappointed patient. Lost my small toe still have my big toe Bunion. What a waste!!! Love Dr. Clements! Great personality, listened to my issue and “heard” my concerns. He gave me many options and tried various treatments on my foot pain. You couldn’t find a more caring doctor. His staff has always been professional and caring. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Clements!

Although he did an okay job on my foot (small procedure), I would never recommend him to anyone because of how rude, arrogant, and egoistic he seems. I even heard him yelling at his students in the hallway, so unprofessional. He may have autism or be on the spectrum because he definitely lacks social ability or something. Terrible people skills, unable to use layman’s terms, barely spent time with me to explain the procedure adequately. I feel sorry for anyone that has him as a doctor or works with him. I had a bunion removed , hammer toe corrected and big toe straightened. Pain was gone within 48 hours. He uses the correct procedure. I found him to be pleasant. My foot looks and feels great.
