Dr. John Carey was my mother, Mrs. Anne Peters’ doctor until she passed away in 2004. He truly cared about and treated her pain so that she was able to have a quality life until 96 years old. I am her daughter, Carole and have been suffering similar pain for the past 8 years. There are no doctors in my Philadelphia suburb that are willing to provide me with medication that will alleviate my pain, as Dr. Carey did for my mother. Therefore I am destined to live in chronic migraine and arthritic pain for the remainder of my life. I believe doctors are afraid to use opioids when they are truly necessary so that at this point in time, patients have no choice but to suffer. Thankfully Dr. John Carey spared my dear mother.
