Dr. Bland was very personable and informative. Unfortunately my car was broken into while parked in the parking lot although they have security? Definitely left there with more on my plate. The neighborhood is high for crime.

Dr. Barnwell is the best. My experience was great; working with his office staff, him, and the hospital, all were professional; Dr Barnwell explained everything so I completely understood the pros & cons of my surgery. 6 months after my surgery., feels like a 2nd chance at life. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer about 1-1/2 months ago. She was referred to Dr. Barnwell who was to perform surgery yesterday, Friday, November 13, 2020 at 7:30 at Harper Grace Hospital. I live in Florida and yesterday I received a call from my aunt in Detroit telling me that she received a call stating that my mom was just sitting at the hospital prepared for surgery but Dr. Barnwell did not submit the necessary paperwork to the insurance company. Not only did he not submit the required paperwork, but he did not have the decency or professionalism to let her know or to check in on her as she sat needlessly prepared for surgery during a pandemic in a hospital bed. When approached by one of the nurses, he said he would send someone in to check on her. Needless to say, that did not happen. As I sit here writing this, I just spoke to my mom and I told her to find another doctor. If he is so frazzled that he cannot fill out paperwork a month in advance, then perhaps we shouldn’t trust him with your life. I told her to look for another doctor. Sometimes you cannot trust your own. A decent professional would have went in to the room and checked on his patient. Instead he cowered and pretended as though he was not at the hospital. Not only did your patient feel abandoned, your colleagues recognized your cowardly and unprofessional actions, Dr. John Barnwell located on Livernois. Yes, I love the spirit of these two doctors. I thank God for blessing me with doctors that genuinely care about their patients and their well-being. They work in excellence and it shows. Everyone's post is soooo true... personable, thorough, kind, patient, are only a few words that describe them... bedside manners that make one praise God for... they are awesome and their team.... I am writing a note for my niece Marcia who was in a serious car crash recently and was treated at Sinai Hospital. She was in a lot of pain after two surgeries and remained in constant severe pain, she was thinking none of the Doctors could help manage her pain until Dr. John Barnwell MD was sent to assist her with managing her pain with the correct pain meds, dosage and timing to make her comfortable during her recovery period. After his professional help and guidance of post surgical pain management, my niece was able to be in less pain and it was manageable for her. My niece wanted to thank you and so did the entire family. We were also very pleased with your bedside manner as well, you were pleasant, kind and very knowledgeable in your field. God bless. Is there a more brilliant and caring surgeon anywhere? NO.

I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Bland (8-7-18)and I was well pleased. She has EXCELLENT bedside manners and so does her staff. I would recommend anyone who may be having any breast issues to ask to be referred to Dr. Bland's office. Also, wonderful atmosphere and staff.

I love them, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be alive today.
