Dr. John C Arpels

In 1988 Dr. Arpels and a cosurgeon performed a successful treatment laparoscopy and second-look laparoscopy on my endometriosis (also removing old scar tissue from pelvic inflammatory disease -- I'd had a Dalkon Shield). I have been essentially symptom-free ever since. I'm writing this review, decades later (so the rating questions tax my memory!), because someone on a Facebook group wrote '95% of surgeries for endometriosis in the U.S. are done by surgeons that are not trained to remove the disease. That is what happened to me the first time... I know of several women that did surgeries for endo and ended up doing hysterectomy because none of them worked.' I am sorry that U.S. endo treatment is still so ineffective -- and eternally grateful that I found Dr. Arpels.
