Texas Oncology is great. All of the staff and doctors are first rate.

Dr. Blum is a brilliant physician, exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled in the treatment of breast cancer. I have trusted her recommendations and treatment protocol strategies implicitly. That said, she does present various options to the patient and will listen to their preferences. I wish that she would/could take longer with to talk to patients, but understand that she is seeing so many folks and does a remarkable job staying on schedule.

I have appreciated Dr. Blum and her concern for my health. I am sad for myself and her patients that she is retiring soon, but I am happy for her, too.

I would recommend Dr. Blum as she is a very caring Dr. I understand she's retiring this year but of my experience with her she listened to and answered all of my questions and concerns. Between she and her staff, they're all caring and helpful.

Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer is scary, no matter what the stage. Dr. Blum made it a lot less so. She is an extremely knowledgeable professional who has devoted her life to eradicating cancer, and presumably has sacrificed a lot to get to the point she is at. That is exactly the type of person I wanted to face my cancer with. She has been with me every step of the way.

She needs to be a little more compassionate and not rush so much. It seems like she’s too busy to really listen to her pts. I know she’s busy but we all are and some of us are fighting For our lives.

I was referred to Dr. Blum by my OB/GYN who I entrusted with my healthcare for over 30 years. I am so grateful for his recommendation. Upon arrival for my first appointment with Dr. Blum, she had a targeted treatment plan for my illness. When discussing her plan with me Dr. Blum was direct, efficient with informing me of things that needed to be done before treatment could begin, caring, thoughtful and a bit of humor in tough times. Dr. Blum is extremely highly qualified and I would recommend her to anyone. She and her Staff were excellent. Thank you again Dr. Blum for you and your Staff for all you do!!!! Dr. Blum is the finest breast oncologist in Dallas and I know several that I have personally met or consulted. My first experience with breast cancer was twenty seven years ago and my recent recurrence began five years ago. Dr. Blum prescribed an excellent chemotherapy and radiation plan. I further consulted with M.D. Anderson's Inflammatory Breast Cancer Team; they were delighted with her plan and we moved forward. Cutting edge drugs, introduced by Dr. Blum, have continued to keep me enjoying my husband, my children and my grandchildren. Last fall Dr. Blum approved proton radiation for a small difficult tumor and last spring we discovered that it had successfully reduced and possibly destroyed that tumor. Presently, I am in my 30th successful month on Ibrance with Fulvestrant. Dr. Blum also has an extraordinary staff who actually call you back to answer questions and provide guidance on many subjects other than cancer. Dr. Blum is deserving of all accolades she has earned.

I have been with Dr. Blum for 7 years since my double mastectomy. She is a most important member of my excellent health team. I now see her annually and always find her up to date and asking me pertinent questions concerning my health. I have complete confidence in Dr. Blum.

Dr. Blum is compassionate and knowledgeable. The doctor's accuracy in determining a treatment plan immediately to start treating my breast cancer gave me confidence. I was not not left with any doubts about her abilities to treat me, plus Dr. Blum always treated my family with respect and information that strengthen their ability to continue to be my support system. Logistically the appointment times to visit with her were always on target never more then 10 minutes off. I always understood what I was facing with Dr. Blum's explanations.

Lab is fantastic. Dr Blum’s bedside manner would benefit from some additional empathy. we’re all scared patients. Markie (Blum’s nurse) is a godsend and an unbelievably kind soul.

Dr. Joanne Blum is a very caring & intelligent Doctor. She keeps me informed of new and improving treatments etc... She and her staff do a great job. They are fast on returning calls and answering questions.

Dr. Blum is current on the latest treatment regimes for my breast cancer diagnosis. She encourages me to call for anything that is not normal and the nurses are quick to call back with assistance.

Dr. Blum is awesome! Her expertise in the field, her pleasant demeanor and her hands on approach to a plan of action is almost unheard of. She and her staff of nurses and office personnel all possess compassion, caring and professionalism. Shout out to Tiffany and Nikki - you guys made my mother feel extra special!
