Dr. Joan M Mccarthy

Dr. McCarthy was the first GYN I ever saw. I was very concerned about my health when I made my appt - getting lost on my way in, I began to cry because I thought I would miss my 1:00p appt. The nurse told me not to worry about it and just to get there. Arriving at 1:01p, I take my seat in the waiting room. Turns out - Dr. McCarthy double booked for 1p and had taken the next patient. Which was fine, except when it was my turn to be seen Dr. McCarthy told me she did not have time to answer my questions because I was late. Again, arrived at 1:01p for a 1:00p appt - that she had double booked. So the doctor told me to “Google it”. The utter lack of respect, care, concern by this doctor is abhorrent. Do not go to her. Find a Dr that cares about your health, time, life. I have since started seeing Dr. Elsa Hale who in our very first appt went absolutely above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable. Dr. McCarthy should leave her practice if she doesn’t want to do her job.

The only physician that I have ever seen that does not keep you waiting, so be on time!

Best gyn ever. Fast efficient, never any wait, sends and answers personal emails. You will not find a better MD for your gyn needs. Angie, Tampa

I have been seeing Dr mcCarthy for over 10 years. She is excellent, very thorough & intuitive. Highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. McCarthy is one of my favorite Doctors! She is super fast, but does not make you feel rushed. She is great about answering questions, and quick to get you in if there is a problem. Highly recommend!

She is fast. But she doesn't rush you or make you feel rushed. There is never a wait.

I can not say enough about Dr. McCarthy and her office staff. You are made to feel that everything will be okay. The doctor actually came to the waiting room to meet you and take you back. She puts you at ease and listens to you. I would highly recommend her.
