Best dentist I have ever had. I’m always comfortable, they are exceedingly accommodating and they do great work. Most of all they don’t push unnecessary procedures like a lot of other dentists in LA. I would recommend them very highly.

Dr.Guttman and his amazing staff are the best. ( Paula the receptionist is such a doll!) I’m terrified of the dentist, and actually found them by searching “Dental Chicken“! On Yelp! They have worked with me to get some serious dental issue fixed. I now go once every 4 months for a cleaning (Debbie is the best!!) , and look forward to seeing them. After going from dentist to dentist, I finally found my home with Jerome A. Guttman, DDS. Whether it's a chipped tooth(they get you in right away to take care of it) or your basic cleaning, the job gets done well. Have been going here for years.

The woman who is the hygienist was amazing. She had been there 32 years but still showed the enthusiasm of someone new in their career. I was very impressed and my teeth are very clean.

This was my first visit and I was treated very gentle, everyone was very friendly. I got x-rays taken and a cleaning and was never in pain! I am glad that I found this place and can recommend it. Thanks for making my visit so pleasant!

Every member of the staff treated me with a sincere kindness, and was able to keep me at easy and allow me to navigate my difficulties when they arose. if you aren’t feeling good about going to the dentist but know you need to go; I highly recommend you give them a try!!!

My experience with Dr. Guttman was very relaxing and reassuring. It my first time visiting this office. I went there expecting the worst (Cavity or abscess). Turns out it's just TMJ from COVID-19 stress and wearing my mask all day. I recommend this office for sure. The only thing that made a little nervous is that I didn't notice any air filtration or any extra oral suction devices during my exam during these times. Wow, it’s been a LONG time since I found a practice that’s compassionate & friendly. I’m a HUGE chicken when it comes to the dentist as I spent my Jr. high school and High School years missing class for my braces. So, I’m hesitant for any work to be done as the past few dentists had really not been so great. Dr. G and his professional team really hit the ball out of the park and sent me home happy and clean. Always excellent service. If you have dental fear issues, Dr. Gutman and his staff is very sensitive in regards to this - infinitely more so than any previous dentist I have gone to in the past. Very professional, excellent at appt reminders and Dr Gutman does not push / upsell additional procedures. Highly recommended. Excellent service and very friendly crew all around. I would definitely recommend this dental practice to all of my friends, everyone was so sweet and helpful! I’ve never felt so cared for at a doctor’s office until now, thanks to Gabby, Rose and Dr. Guttman himself. In the past I visited a few other dentists around Los Angeles and Santa Monica, and had rather negative experiences of them trying to sell me stuff, “finding” things to make me sign up for more procedures, and even once leaving me unsupervised with a bunch of tools in my mouth for a long period of time that burnt my gums. Originally left a five star review, but now I sadly have to agree with the other one star review. I went in for a cleaning and was ensured by both the office and my insurance company that 100% of the cost would be covered, I left my appointment satisfied and thinking everything was complete. Then, four months later, I am suddenly made aware that their office charged additional fees on top of the procedure cost. Upon asking for clarification of the fees and the amounts, they would not provide any details other than “they are just extra charges”. Insurance paid 100% (I called my insurance and they confirmed 100% was covered, the receptionist in the dental office also stated “insurance covered 100% and these are extra charges”) Also, completely unknown to me, they have been trying to collect my payment for months and were upset I hadn’t paid. I explained I received my first bill five days ago in the mail and received no calls, no emails, no prior contact. I gave all my checking account info as requested and asked them to please take everything they needed for it all to be paid in full. I still have no idea what I just paid for, my insurance also paid 100% of the bill, and they are unable to provide any documentation that my bill has been paid in full. I still feel very unsettled and shaken as there is no paper trail and I am the type of person that pays my bills weeks before the due dates. I have requested several times for a receipt showing the bill has been paid in full and they are still refusing. Scary that they may be able to continue billing even though my insurance and I paid hundreds for one dental cleaning. Just be very careful with their billing system. This is the kind of scary mess that can ruin people’s credit without them even knowing. Maybe just call them every few days after your appointment to ask if you have a bill and document it each time. A wonderful, relaxed and competent practice. Great location, easy parking and scheduling.

I had a broken tooth and live 150 miles away. He has been my parent's dentist for years. I called on a Monday morning and he squeezed me in an hour later. He found and called an oral surgeon that could see me an hour after.

This office is professional with friendly staff. The work is excellent and if you are afraid this dentist is gentle. His assistant is gentle they are excellent.

The best teeth cleaning I’ve ever received. Debbie is so kind and gentle and VERY thorough! Dr. Guttman is very knowledgeable and helped me feel safe and respected and eased my mind with regards to my gum condition.

Always have had a pleasant experience at Dr Guttman dentistry! I have had dental insurance for the past three years and went to another dentist to use my insurance however Dr Gs prices are competitive to having dental insurance vs not having dental insurance. Most dental insurance are bare bones and cover up to a certain amt year and one cleaning with very minimal discount on all other services. You can get in less than a day or two which is really great too for emergencies! I still have my dental insurance but my dentist I’ve seen for the past three years all of a sudden stopped taking my insurance. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of researching and waiting to find a new one so I went back to DR Gs. It didn’t break the bank and they got me in the very next day which I needed since a filling fell out. Hiss staff Debbie in particular are friendly, caring and personable. Even though it’s been years since going to Dr Gs, they knew me as soon as I walked into the door which is great feeling because you know they take the time to know all their patients vs patients are just a numbered chart. Also the procedure was very tolerable and comfortable. I def will.be going back again and saving the monthly fee I pay per month for terrible dental coverages. Communication was great before, during and after the office visit. All questions answered and they were very thorough taking the time to explain very thing they were doing and why. I have not been to the dentist for way to long. So, I was totally expecting to have some cavities and other problems. Dr. Guttman took x-rays and did the usual search. I have always been a person who has been afraid of the Dentist, even at an age over 50. I must say I just had the most unbelievable visit with Dr. Guttman and his entire staff. If I had to rate their level of professionalism, on the scale of 1-10 it would be a 10. This is my first time meeting Dr. Guttman, and he is a Dentist that really cares about his patients, I could tell that he is a very compassionate person and a professional from the very beginning, I had several procedures that needed to be done, and the timing of completion was critical due to a very important business trip that is scheduled for the East Coast.. I meet the Dr, along with Paula and Debbi, who were extremely supportive of my needs and worked with me on a short notice to get things started and completed. MY experience was so favorable that if I lived anywhere else in the country I would fly back for my service. This is service like the old days when businesses really cared about their patients. My last point is that Dr. Guttman communicates what he is doing as he is completing his procedures, and that made me feel very relaxed and eliminated the tense feeling i had before i got to his office. He used to work in the city of Montebello, but when I called to make a routine check-up, I found out that he had moved to a different location I definitely was reluctant to change dentists, so the same day I found out the bad news, I made an appointment at the new office in Playa Del Rey.
