there is little question that Dr. Coplan is one of the very best mental health physicians in the state of new york.

When I 1st went to see Dr coplan I had absolutely no trust or faith in any dr let alone one that deals with psychology. One Dr after another refusing to help me or making me worse. I was a long time patient of his until I decided to go for ketamine infusions instead of ECT, probably because the ECT specialist was a friend and colleague of his. Anyhow, he never returned my calls after that. Also, the pushes pills like he's handing out Pez. That being said, the ketamine infusions cured my depression and I have e no need to be the walking pill bottle Coplan turned me into. Be careful. I am the mother of Lisa Marie Pugliese, a medical student as well. If I could give Dr. Coplan more than a 5 star I surely would. She has been a patient of Dr. Coplan for many many years. He diagnosed her with Lyme Disease 9 years ago. Every test came back positive and until this day, he continues to treat her. Surgery after surgery, complication after complication, he has always been there for her to guide her through. Even though we are currently in DFW, Tx at the moment, leaving here shortly because of poor healthcare, and SSDI still pending, god bless you Dr. Coplan for saving my mother’s life. After 12 physicians, 2 emergency room visits, endless testing and 4 MRI's, Dr. Jeremy Coplan is the one doctor that diagnosed my myriad of symptoms as Lyme Disease and literally saved my life as I was weeks away from a wheelchair. Dr. Jeremy Coplan is absolutely brilliant, listens to his patients and connects the dots to find the right treatment for them. He is all about the patient, caring and genuine. If only more physicians were like him. He is a gift and highly recommend.

After seeing doctor after doctor with these mysterious symptoms and no one able to diagnose me, my friend another psychiatrist thought I had lost it, and I did also..[Tinnitus, brain fog, and muscular skeletal issues as well].] Dr. Coplan correctly diagnosed me with Lyme's Disease, which has been confirmed. . As one of the few Lyme literate physicians , I was most fortunate to have gone to him. He carried for me until I was able to travel to the city for the much needed additional alternative medicine. Every person who suffers a chronic medical condition prays for a miracle cure, or miracle doctor. Having lived with psych issues within my entire family, I'd say a psych family prays extra hard. Psych issues don't just disable the person suffering, their entire family, and everyone they know are included. I've been in treatment since I was in first grade, I'm now 28. I suffered from first grade until 18. Than I found my miracle doctor I had been praying for. I started seeing Dr. Coplan at 18. It's now ten years he has been treating me. I truly can say he saved my life, multiple times. When he started seeing me at 18, I will admit I was a very rebellious patient. I refused to comply. To be honest I'm surprised he tolerated my nonsense for so long. That's the thing with him though, he never gives up. He develops a very customized one on one relationship with every patient. After a while I realized that. As I got older I started to understand why I was rebellious in the first place. I had seen over 7 doctors in the past up until 18. Not one of them helped at all. Every doctor before 18 seemed like a factory line system. One of the doctors actually overdosed me on a medication, and I was rushed to the hospital. You can see why I was skeptical. I was so accustomed to the routine, I didn't expect the level of treatment Dr. Coplan offers. Unlike all the other doctors, he genuinely cares. He takes the time to sit down with you and actually listen. If I had to describe it, it's a fusion of a psychiatrist and a psychologist. At the age I'm at now, I enjoy when I have a visit. The one on one care makes it feel comfortable enough to open up(major psych patient requirement). The ability to text him or call him at anytime is so helpful. If you need to immediately see him, he arranges it. For example, I'm on social security so it doesn't cover 95% of my medication. He finds ways to get it to me for free, or a very minimal price so I can be properly medicated. Another amazing thing is he does not just attribute everything to a psychiatric reason. He looks deeper into your health history, or your symptoms you express. He than can see if there is possibly another underlying cause. For example with my case he figured out it wasn't just psychiatric related. I have thyroid problems too. That problem can easily trigger psychological action in the brain. Not only did he figure it out, he is able to manage it better than any of the endocrinologists I've seen. I've seen 3 endocrinologists, that's what they specialize in. Only Dr. Coplan was able to properly regulate the condition. Dr. Coplan is a psychiatrist, but he is also an MD. I honestly trust him more than my own primary. I've switched my primary 3 times, I still swear by Dr. Coplan. Recently I became really sick. I went to my primary and the hospital numerous times. The hospital I'd say 10 times, the primary over 20. Both of them kept blaming my psychiatric conditions and said I was fine. Dr. Coplan once again came to the rescue, and realized I have CNS Lyme disease. He also realized there was a secondary infection with the Lyme disease. I had been seen by other doctors for 9 months, and the only person who realized it was Dr. Coplan. Once again, he saved my life. He immediately began treatment, and I went from unable to leave bed and being helped taking showers, to cleaning my house like I'm the Energizer bunny. Without Dr. Coplan I don't know what my life would be. I went from 18 being a college drop out to holding a 3.85gpa in law school. I end up properly medicated, got married, my thyroid was regulated and I lost 129 lbs (was 260 at 5'2),my diabetes is practically non existent, my lyme is disappearing. I trust Dr. Coplan with anything and everything in my life. He is the only doctor I trust in general to be truthful. He sees my mom, my husband, and I. All of us love him. If your sick of the same results over and over, the factory line system, go to Dr. Coplan. There is a real miracle doctor, who genuinely cares, it's Dr. Coplan. Fantastic doctor who really understands bipolar and listens to you, and takes time. Doesn't dismiss you, and really focuses in on the nuances of medication, and will work with your concerns about side effects, instead of dismissing them. Highly intelligent and on the cutting edge of the field. He has gone out of his way to help me during extremely challenging times, has seen me at my best and at my worst, and has always shown care. He's also got a nice dry sense of humor. Highly recommend.

Dr. Jeremy Coplan has saved my family. It's all very personal, but let's just say that without Dr. Coplan, I probably would have lost my children to mental illness and drug abuse.

When I first saw Dr. Coplan I was an all around mess. Having seen quite a few psychiatrists to treat bi-polarism and lack of focus in the past, my experience was that questions regarding meds and details about my situation with these doctors prior were always met with curt responses like "well, cause I'm the doctor and you're the patient". Never was given thorough explanations like I wanted until I first visited Dr. Coplan. Now I am infinitely better off, owning life as I should have 4 yrs.

Dr. Coplan diagnosed my Lyme Disease in 2015, actually saving my life. He treated my for many months at the beginning until he referred me for advanced treatment by other Lyme specialists in NYC. I currently am still with them and being treated for Chronic Lyme Disease. He is a brilliant learned Lyme literate doctor....Lucky me!

Very expensive doctor with (in my case) in my opinion a tendency to overmedicate , I was charged 600$ for a first visit
