Dr. Jennifer Armstrong Strople

It may be too soon to tell, on our first visit, she was very attentive and trying to get everything right by my child. We were referred to go to see Dr strople and have been waiting to be under her care for two years, with insurance situation, we couldn’t, till now, we got different insurance so that we could see her. Her assistant doctor and her team studied my child’s long history of her disease, usages of different medications, timelines of my child’s hospital stays, imaging, ..etc Dr Strople came in with hand written, fully studied medical history of my child and she went over thoroughly to understand my child’s needs and goals. I do understand why some people can have different opinions about doctors, though. I and my child liked her and her team, we switched to her but it has been only 1week. Calling Lurie H is horrifyingly inconvenient. You will be on hold forever and may cut you off after over 30mins of holding to just talk to one person. But on My Chart app, so far so good, somebody always got back to me pretty promptly. (Within a half day) I will update my review after a few months.

Please do not take your child to the doctor save your child ,this doctor does not care about your child’s health or anything all she cares about is money she’s the worst doctor. Please find your child a different doctor stay away from this doctor. She will treat your child like a Test doll and try different medication on the child, knowing that none of the medication will help your child. I think it is important to check out the reviews on the doctors before seeing them. I have always went to Anne and Roberts children’s hospital in Chicago for about 16 years. I have never had a problem with any of the doctors in the kidney department. I had a kidney transplant at a young age and have many complications. In 2018, I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and I was referred to doctor strople. She started me on steroids and I was told that it was temporary until we can find a permanent solution. About a year went by and I started to have a ton of side effects like weight gain and that caused so much stretch marks. I ended up having diabetes due to the steroids. My mother confronted the doctor and said that I needed to stop taking steroids she then told my mother that it is necessary and this is something I need. So she put her trust in this doctor and I continued to take steroids. it got to a point where my body couldn’t handle the steroids my mother complained and we went to see a different doctor. Turns out my body relied on the steroids so much to the point where I wasn’t able to stop taking it. My new doctor said that I need to gradually stop taking steroids that why my body would handle it. My point being is this doctor is lazy, wants the easy way out, doesn’t think about consequences and not to mention she’s very insensitive. Pushes the most extreme big pharma drugs to patients when they are unnecessary. Its all about money with these doctors. They get paid to push their big pharma drugs. This doctor would not fight to get a medication approved that worked great for me in the past with absolutely no side effects, she rather push infusion drugs that cause horrible side effects such as cancer. The only drugs she would approve for me did not work for me and caused horrible side effects. She has no compassion or understanding for patients. She even got into a verbal altercation with me about what drug would work best for me & my recovery when I was in the hospital, it was extremely unprofessional that a doctor stood there yelling at me pushing me to go on a hard drug while im laying in a hospital bed recovering. She and her team said I wouldn't make it out the hospital without remicade shots. Well I did make it out without them, they just try using a scare tactic to make me go on their harmful drugs. I have proved this doctor wrong countless of times which is why she comes off so aggressive towards me because I know whats best for my body. She treats patients as customers not patients, and once you start doing your own research she will attack you and say its all wrong. This doctor says that the food you eat has nothing to do with crohns/collitis/ibs. That is extremely false, it is ridiculous if she believes that or maybe she just uses that lie to mislead her patients so they keep coming back with problems. Either way the point is this doctor is nothing but a drug dealer. She does not truly care about your health and well being. Was not satisfied with her follow up. Took over a week and was left a voice mail by her nurse.

Dr Strople wasn't friendly/ engaging to my infant or me. When she left the room I had no idea that out visit was over and I wasn't done asking questions. She never explained what the issue was. I had to take my child to see another specialist. I DO NOT recommend her at all! Waste of money, time and energy!

Dr. Strople is indeed a good doctor. She responds to portal messages promptly and she has great bed side manners. My daughter loves her.

I would not take my child to Dr. Strople is she was a last physician on earth. My daughter was in her care for over 4 years and she failed to diagnose Celiac disease. As soon as we switched to another GI, she was diagnosed within a week. Beware! Do not take your child! She is incompetent at best!

I had a very good experience with dr strople. She was professional and thourough I feel that she gave us a good recommendation on how to proceed with my daughters stomach issues She was also great with my 6 year old daughter during the appt.

This women is a horrible person. I was late 10 minutes to the appointment and she turned my daughter away. I explained to her staff that I was in the building trying to find the office and they didn't care. I was eight months pregnant and having contractions and could barely walk and my poor daughter was vomiting and they still told me to reschedule after I had waited months for this appointment. I will never go to this place again.
