I was referred to De. Halpern for diagnosis and removal of a large lump on my upper thigh. The office visit and review went very well on short notice. The surgery was about six months larger as it was determined that urgency was not needed and this fit my schedule best. The hospital visit went very well also. The entire staff explained all steps in understandable terms. Dr. Halpern visited me shortly before surgery and made sure I understood what was about to happen. I was given all the written instructions necessary for after surgery care and recovery. My recovery has gone very well.

Dr. Halpern has no respect for a patients time. I arrived early for my appointment and was left waiting in the room for awhile. An hour and a half after my appointment time, a tech arrived to say the Dr. Wanted xrays. I already had xrays, a doppler and a MRI. I am not sure she reviewed my information very well either. Had I done the Xrays, it would have been another hour or more to be seen. I told the tech no and walked out. Please find a Doctor who has more respect for your time.

Highly recommend her! After finding a mass in my 7 year olds arm... and weren't certain what it was, and were extremely worried!! Long story short, we were referred to her... she got the diagnosis, performed the surgery, and took extra special care of him! We continue to see her, for required follow ups, and he is always happy to go!! She has excellent bedside manner and is very helpful to answer questions and concerns. -Melisa

In 2009 Dr. Halpern performed surgery on my right leg, and recently I cracked my pelvis, after seeing a local doctor I chose to drive 170 miles to get her opinion. that's how much I value her as a doctor, I couldn't ask for a better doctor. and if I happen to have any more bone issues she will always be my first choice.
