Excellent Physician

Dr. Jeffrey Perlman lacks the care or empathy to be a physician. He will not explain what's happening to your body or how the medication will help it. He simply checks your feet, looks at your glucose logs and writes a prescription without any comments. Any questions are addressed as though you are an idiotic child. To top it off, the staff is incompetent and overworked - the refund I'm expecting has been "processing" for 6 months now.

Excellent Physician.

It made me uncomfortable watching Dr Jeffrey Parlman being rude to two of his stuff members during separate visits. My own experience wasn’t pleasant, he seemed very uptight and Some of the questions that I asked, he answered but seemed annoyed. I found a specialist who is nice and treats people with respect.

The Staff and the Doctor are extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Appointments are able to be with convenient times and they really do a great job of getting you in and out in a timely manner. The health class on eating correctly really is a benefit too! I give them a thumbs up!!

My husband was in "crisis mode" when he first saw Dr. Perlman. In just a matter of a week or so my husband's glucose levels came down. The best part is his A1C levels are for him at an all time low. Following all of Dr Perlman's suggestions have made a world of difference. We thank God we found Dr. Perlman when we did!

I would not recommend Dr. Jeffrey Perlman. I was a new patient and He did not even introduced himself to begin with. He sat down and like a robot began asking me yes or no questions. Terrible bedside manners. He needs to retire.He did not listen to my main concerns and the reasons for my visit. He requested blood work without fasting to check my Thyroid and glucose only. I would give zero stars if I could.

Dr. Perlman is very focused on my care. When he enters the exam room he has studied my chart. He is very thorough in his exam and has diagnosed some conditions not discovered by my previous endocrinologist.

I recently accompanied my adult son, who has Type I Diabetes and is recovering from cancer and chemo/radiation treatments, to Dr. Perlman. If you like a doctor who has a superiority complex, a condescending and critical attitude toward the patient, is impersonal -doesn't even greet the patient when he comes into the room, gives a string of confusing orders and criticizes when the instructions are not followed to the letter, then this is the doctor for you.

I go to Dr. Perlman every 3 months for a follow up, I can tell he tries to make an effort to loosen up. He has a very dry sense of humor but you get used to it. He always shows good patience with me because I hate needles. He will also explain things if you ask.

Dr Perlman keeps me more aware of improvements that i can do managing my diabete

Dr. Perlman was able to help me when my PCP prescribed me too much medication for my thyroid. He is patient and kind. I appreciate his experience level and education. The office staff is helpful and I also like the patient fusion email reminders I receive about my appointment time. I highly recommend this doctor to manage your thyroid.

Dr. Perlman saved my life, literally, not figuratively. He is extremely intelligent, patient focused, and diligent in his approach to diagnosis and treating disease. His staff is professional, friendly, and very responsive. They focus on the important tasks that are critical to a patient's health and recovery. If you want a direct, no-nonsense approach to helping you survive, manage, and thrive with a life threatening situation, this is the Doctor and Staff for you.

He is such a curmudgeon that being alone with him in an examination room was so adversarial that I had to find a doctor with a much better bedside manner. There was no point trying to receive medical care and instruction from someone who showed he only wanted to judge and criticize me the entire time. He needs to retire and let patients receive care from an endocrinologist who cares about them.

Horrible bedside manner from Dr. Perlman. Doesn't even greet you when he walks in, even when you greet him! He just walks in and sits down with his pencil like let's get this over with. Doesn't look you in the eye or listen at all to your concerns. Saw him 3 times (well only twice because he canceled my appointment the evening before! wth?) and I finally asked the office girl, "Is he always like that?!" She rolled her eyes and annoyed she said, "OMG yes, all the time."

He does a through exam every visit. Reviews medications, patient info regarding health experiences, etc. He is cautious regarding health indications he finds and recommends additional health care professionals when exam results produce unusual results. I have him monitor both my diabetes and thyroid issues rather than my GP.

Dr. Perlman is professional and caring. Spends just the right amount of time with me in his office visit and always lets me know what to expect. He is thorough and very knowledgeable. I never have to wait very long to get into see him. I can do all my blood tests in his office so that is very convenient He was referred from another physician that knows of his experience and knowledge. You are in great hands with Dr. Perlman.

Dr. Pearlman is courteous, caring, & instills confidence in me regarding his treatments & recommendations. He is good at explaining anything I may have questions about. Also, his front office staff is always patient, courteous, & helpful! I really appreciate too that I don't have long waits for service. I arrive at my appointment time & am always seen promptly.

Great experience. Dr. Jeffrey Perlman has a dry sense of humor in the beginning, but by my second visit, he actually smiled at my outrageous wit. Been seeing Dr. Jeffrey for a couple of years now and could not be more pleased. His office receptionist is such a pleasant young lady. She makes me so comfortable.

Dr. Perlman is a caring, no nonsense, type personality who will go to great lengths to find a resolution to your health concerns. I have been with him for over four (4) years and a diabetic for over forty. My A1C has improved because of adhering to his instructions. If you are sincere about your endocrinology health concerns, I recommend Dr. Jeffery Perlman.

I would leave 0 starts if I could. The front office staff -- especially the office manager -- if impossible to deal with. If you are in need of compassionate care, go somewhere else. I wouldn't wish that office manager's attitude on my worst enemy. He should be ashamed of himself!

Dr.Perlman has exceptional knowledge on Diabetes. He understands the problem and gets to the roots of it to resolve it. Thats dedication at its best. I have been a diabetic since 11 years with my sugars going off charts at times. He adjusted my medications and advised diet and exercise and since then my sugars are under control all the time. I highly recommend Dr.Perlman to everyone for his no nonsense, problem solving attitude.

Being a young adult, I was blown away to find out that I had Type 2 diabetes. My grandmother made me an appointment to see Dr. Perlman. This doctor got me in the office, changed my sliding scale & had my diabetes & A1C under control within 2/3 months. He is the BEST!!

I would recommend Dr. Perlman because he is knowledgeable and answers all questions. His first question to me was if I were interested in knowing more about diet and exercise in trying to combat diabetes. I have learned more about the disease and am in a diet and exercise program.

Doc has been great to me, he was the one who found my cancer and helped guide me through it. His aftercare has been exceptional, I trust hes doing what's best for me. The ladies in the office are pleasant, very friendly to me and remember my name. Scheduling can be challenging, hes normally booked out a few weeks in advance but if its an emergency they'll find a way to squeeze you in. I'd recommend to family and friends in a heart beat.

Dr Perlman knows his stuff. He is a focused practitioner and is thorough in his follow through of symptoms. I believe he works well with patients who are invested in their health. I see the doctor patient relationship as both sides asking and answering questions and listening and clarifying.

I have been under Dr. Perlman's care for over a year and a half. I am very pleased with the care and attention he and his staff provide.

I was referred to Dr. Jeffrey Perlman by my primary care doctor, whose opinion I highly value. I have been seeing Dr. Perlman now for over a year and a half. My diabetes was pretty much out of control which was causing me a great deal of stress and diminished lifestyle. Through continuous testing and monitoring, my diabetes is now under control and I am feeling much better. Dr. Perlman never rushes me in and out of appointments, and always takes the time to fully explain things to me.

Dr. Perlman said I needed to have biopsy done, I had called and verified I would only need to pay my copay. The day of, I was informed I had to pay $400 out of pocked and I received another bill for $446. After the procedure, Dr. Pearlman told me my results were inclusive and he needed to perform another biopsy. I went to another Dr. to get a second opinion and she said everything looked normal. She wasn't sure why Dr. Perlman would want to do a biopsy. The whole thing felt like a scam.

I have had many years of ho hum counseling and babysitting by physicians who seem to watch me get worse. Dr. Perlman is the first physician I have partnered with who will "tell-it-like-it-is", no pulling punches. After 30 plus years of diabetes (and declining health over the years) I need to get my diabetes under control. I require an aggressive posture with a physician who cares more about my improvement than being my "pal". Dr. Perlman has worked for my respect and he respects me. Win, win!!

He seemed like a good Dr. However had zero patience with our side of the boundaries and parameters of insurance. Ultimately, insurance was why we left. If his patients aren't willing to meet HIS expectations then it's like "off with their Head!"

Dr. Perlman was in a great mood, and made jokes. Good job Dr. Perlman in your efforts to loosen up! We know about your qualifications, so now we just need to see a friendly personality to go with it every visit to your office!

Dr. Perlman was the absolute most rude Dr. I have ever been to. His staff walks around on eggshells. He doesn't even look at you when he talks to you and he has a very rude tone in his voice as if he was angry. I would never go to him again. No patient needs to be treated that way.

Dr. Perlman's office staff is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr. Perlman is very knowledgeable, thorough with his diagnosis, and shows genuine interest in my concerns. Thank you Dr. Jeffrey Perlman!

Plano location - Scheduling staff is disorganized. Front office staff does not provide thorough information that the patient needs to know. Dr. Jeffrey Perlman may be knowledgeable in his field but he is off-putting and aloof, and does not put a patient at ease to discuss their issues. He does not present the doctor patient relationship that makes a patient feel comfortable asking question so I am changing physicians and going to someone who I feel comfortable with.

Worst experince ever. I had to bring my 3 year old sister with me and Dr Perlman was so rude to her. She just didn't understand why this man was so mean to her! I will never go back to this doctor. He was rude and condesending! After almost 30 years of type 1 diabetes, I probly know more about it than he does.

Dr. Perlman is the coldest, most distant Doctor I have ever encountered. He has no interest in his patients, other than taking down the numbers of your glucose readings and making sure he finishes up with you in the 15 minutes you are allotted. He seems to have no understanding of the fact that diabetes is a disease of the total human personality. If you need to feel like anything more than a character in a factory assembly line, stay away from him.

Dr. Perlman doesn't have a whole lot of personality at first but after a little while he warmed up somewhat. He was very thorough with his questions and his exam. He is very matter of fact. We did not discuss my condition because we don't know exactly what it is yet. Doctor wanted blood tests and biopsy before we discuss. This was my first visit . Great receptionist!
