Dr. Jeffrey Todd Junko

Stay away!!! I was left with permanent nerve damage and drop foot. Can't tell you how much I never met this guy or his staff that made one mistake after another. My suture split open on the way back from them removing my splint. I have had many surgeries and never had such an awful doctor. I am in pain all day every day. He has made my life terrible!

Wait time was horrendous the staff was very unorganized and I have no confidence in this doctor after his opinion was not the same as 3 other doctors with better credentials.

I've had two different surgeries by Dr. Junko and can't say enough good things about him and his staff.

Dr. Junko just completed a partial hip replacement on my 78yr old mother we couldn't be more pleased by his kindness and expertise. Highly recommended his service to anyone looking for a good ortho doctor. He and all the other ortho doctors are WONDERFUL. Summa has taken very good care of my mother. Thank you all so much.

Dr Junko is hands down the absolute best orthopedic surgeon. I had my surgery 2.5 years ago. Day by day it gets a little easier. Yes my ankle still hurts. But I go and see him for a check up tell him what’s going on and I always get amazing direction and communication for him of what to do. He nails where the pain is when he does the exam. I always ask questions and wow he is patient and so nice. It’s so hard to find an outstanding dr that u can TRUST. His staff at every location are very accommodating well educated and have extremely professional bedside manner. Thank you Dr Junko. You are my hero!!! I have always had the best experience with Dr Junko. He is very down to earth and takes the time to get to know his patients. He listens and nowadays that’s a lot especially since most doctors don’t even do that. I have had multiple ankle surgeries! Including 2 total ankle replacements. I have nothing but praise for this doctor. The procedure is a long process, and not easy. Dr. Junko, and his staff, were very supportive, explained step by step what to expect and what they expected of me. My quality of life is greatly improved. Looking forward to continued pain free activity.

My foot is worse now than it was before surgery. He offered no alternative and I always felt like he wished I would just go away. So I did and I found a different doctor who did care who showed me how the surgery could have been done better. With proper footwear, PT and orthotics I am at least functional. Junko not once looked at my footwear. His post op care was a joke. My nerve block took 6 days to wear off. Thank God I had a wheelchair. My follow up wasn’t for almost three weeks and the flimsy bandages which I was told to leave on were a filthy slimy mess. Crystal Clinic is run so much better. Go there.

I was left with a drop foot and severe neuropathic pain after surgery because he left the tourniquet on too long. All he offered was acetaminophen. He really didn’t care. A year later I had sudden severe pain. He just dismissed it and said I needed to walk more. I went to another doctor and I had a stress fracture! How could a foot ortho miss something that obvious?

It was Junko's recommendation that I get surgery on my foot to fix the broken bone. I work extremely long hours and explained all my concerns especially because it's my dominate foot. My final appointment was me explaining how I am in so much pain and he didn't care at all. He just looked at me like I was crazy. My foot wasn't even 100% healed and he released me from his care without any advice on how to alleviate the pain. So here I am still dealing with this pain. I don't think it's normal that some days I'm in so much pain it causes me to limp and it gets so bad that I have trouble walking. The other thing that really bothered me is how I had to chase him down since he works out of so many offices, they had me in hudson, fairlawn, ravenna. Just crazy to make a patient do all that driving on a broken foot with a boot and all but he didn't care, never even seen the man smile or ever reassure me about anything....stay away. Miracle worker and great surgeon! He completed my husbands surgery in one surgery when we were told to expect many to come. He is worth the long waits in the waiting room! And his assistants (one gentleman in particular) so funny, kind and helpful!

Incredibly kind physician. Beautiful repair on my foot. Excellent follow up

Had to go to Cleveland Clinic after my surgery botched and Junko was dismissive of the fact my pain was worse after surgery than before. The Clinic said my surgery was done incorrectly and I had a fracture Junko missed. Also had nerve damage from the procedure. Very upset with this doctor.

My husband has experienced outstanding results with Dr Junko. He is more than capable, compassionate, and very professional. Exceptional surgeon and an even better person.

My first surgeon didn't take me seriously. Dr Junko recognized I was in pain and was ready to help me. I've had some issues still with my ankle and I am still seeing him. He remembers personal things about me and ask me about these things when I'm in his office. He truely cares for people and doesn't treat people like a number. Through everything my ankle is putting me through, I'm not worried and am relaxed because I know I have the best Dr. and will be just fine.

Dr. Junko was the surgeon for my sisters foot surgery in October. My sister spent the past year out of state in rehab and just returned home before the surgery. After her surgery, she was prescribed 80 tablets of oxy and then another perscription not even 2 weeks later. I spoke to them myself telling them about her addiction & just found out today that he perscribed her ANOTHER prescription this morning- 3 months later. This is one of the strongest narcotics and she should not have them!!!

I am from Cleveland and drove to Akron just for Dr. Junko. Dr. Junko has great bedside manner. He was prompt and efficient with appointments and the day of surgery. Every single expectation was met. He was honest and thorough with recovery time and what to expect. I am very pleased with my choice. My family was appreciative of his kind and thorough explanation of the process. We think he is the best in the WORLD.

Dr. Junko performed an ankle fusion for me in August 2015. Other surgeons had wanted to fuse all three of the major bones together which would have left me with very little mobility in my foot and probably a permanent limp to my gait. Dr. Junko reviewed my x-rays closely and determined that an alternative action could be taken and still relieve the pain associated with the loss of cartilage that arthritis had taken. Thank You, Dr. Junko! So glad we met and happy with the results!

Previously worked with two well known area surgeons this was my first experience with Dr. Junko. I would highly recommend him!
