After a terrible experience with an appendectomy gone wrong in Augusta, my son was rushed to Barbara Bush Children's Hospital one night. Dr. Halter was on call and we knew within an hour or so of admittance they would have to go back in surgically to both address infection as well as deal with adhesions within his intestines. Dr. Halter was calm, addressed our concerns and made us feel as if we were in the right place with the right surgeon. He operated immediately. Tough beginning, happy ending

Dr.Halter diagnosed my daughter after four other doctors couldn't.He was informative about her diagnosis.He was respectful of my concerns regarding treatment and gave me multiple options.He listened intently and answered all my questions.My daughter is not usually comfortable with male doctors but he put her at ease and our appointments were pleasant. I have and will continue to recommend him to other parents whose children have the same issue as my daughter did.

Was told my child wouldn't have any complications and that no other procedures would be done. Three years later he will need another procedure and hasn't seen my son in about two years.
