I, at first really appreciated Dr Caplan but when he suggested I do surgeries on both hands at the same time meaning I have no hands left or right for 2 weeks untill stitches come out and I then had major problems because how can one function without your hands both bandaged. ****DO NOT GO HERE!*** Save your money & time!!!! This office has the worst customer service! From the billing department to the doctor that supposed to help those in medical needs. I should’ve noticed something was off when The woman in the billing department was talking to the receptionist like crap. The women in the billing department didn’t even charge my insurance correctly and charged me for the services. After asking her to correct it she yelled at me and hung up the phone in my face. I spoke to Dr. Caplan reference to this issue he responded rudely to me as well. Which was very devastating because I was involved in an car accident prior and suffered a broke finger. I came to this office for help and healing. Instead I was belittled and mistreated. Now I have to find another doctor because my finger is still messed up. Mind you, it’s going on 2 months, my insurance still haven’t received the billing. Thanks to you guys for wasting my time and money. ****DO NOT GO HERE!****

I was hospitalized so I didn't get to choose my surgeon. Came back to have pins removed out of thumb. Went through rehab and still had pain. Tried to talk to him twice but he would not return calls. I live in north Carolina so each trip was over 800 miles. Made an appointment and went to his office. He took xrays and found bone chips in the surgery. Advised me to make another appointment and he would make it a simple out patient surgery in the office. Get a referral from my doctor and make another appointment . My doctors office made 4 attempts to fax referral . Their response was they were having phone issues. I told them I would bring a copy and made an appointment. Drove the 800 miles. Went to the office, they had no record of my appointment and he was leaving for the day Stated I needed approval from my insurance company to pay for surgery. LEFT to find another doctor near home. Nice doctor but I was not happy with the results of the work he did. Definitely disappointed. I wish I had read more reviews before deciding to use him. I would not recommend him unfortunately.

Amazing!!! Dr. Caplan has been my Dr for many years.... Dr Caplan's office staff are very friendly and Efficient... Making appointment's to work around my work schedule is always a breeze.... Dr Caplan's NEW OFFICE @ 3990 Sheridan Street, Suite 103 is beautiful and is just 3 blocks East of his old office.. I would recommend Dr. Caplan to anyone who wants a Dr who really cares???? . My husband blew part of his dominant hand off with a firework. He lost his pointer finger a huge chunk of his hand. His middle finger was rebuild and we thought his hand would never work again. After a few surgeries, skin graphs, a year of therapy, severe pain and determination he can write, ride his Harley, hit the bulls eye more than once in a game of darts, and pretty much do anything. Very grateful for Doctor Caplan. His humor ???? helped in my husband's recovery as it really has not effected him emotionally either. All staff and him are wonderful. Thank you. Been my Dr for about 5 years... Dr Caplan is very caring and has great bedside manners... Staff is always friendly.. I would recommend DR. CAPLAN to all my family, friends and YOU...

will not recommend this place AT ALL!!! poor customer service and coming from the OFFICE MANAGER NICOLE...if you cant get good service starting from the manager then i can only imagine the rest of the office. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Very quick to jump into recommending surgery without a thorough explanation of why. He treated 3 symptoms in my hands, only 1 of which had any real effect, I felt as if the other 2 were simply a way to raise the bill while injecting me with medication I didn't need. He's pleasant enough, but doesn't really display an air of competency.

Dr. Caplan was incompetent, unprofessional, and un-carinng, he is dishonest and will say anything to talk a patient into surgery. Then he is a terrible surgeon. I had full function in both hands until he operated on them and butchered both hands. He was unapologetic and insulting after the surgery, he made many irregular cuts on my hands and inserted a pin (K-Wire) where it did not belong, removed it and then re-inserted the unsterile pin in another area. He made several un-welcomed sexual jokes with me on multiple occasions referencing me "taking all of my clothes off" and "getting naked" laughing at his own jokes and then stomping his feet on the ground to accentuate his own hysteria. Although I did go through with the surgery I was uncomfortable knowing that he would be there while I was naked and under sedation. He was deceptive from the start as noted by the 30 year old and 100lbs ago photograph of him in his office with magazine articles that have nothing to do with him. Then he conceals the low level Caribbean Diploma Mill medical school that he attended as it does not appear on any of his office materials, although other places that he practiced do. I had to have a second surgery on both hands to correct his butchery and I have still not regained use of my hands. He also carries no MALPRACTICE insurance which he is clear about. Buyer beware, DO NOT HAVE SURGERY PERFORMED BY THIS POORLY QUALIFIED, INCOMPETENT PERSON. Believe me any positive reviews here are posted by him or by his cronies. DR Caplan did an awesome job on my finger and explained to me why he was doing what he did and took the time to correct the butchered job that was done to me at Mount Sinai. I'm very happy with his fast response and his professionalism. Dr Caplan's attitude shows me he is always willing to help. Thank You!.

Dr. Caplan is the best doctor I have ever seen. He did 3 different surgeries on my hands/fingers! They were close to amputation. I also had my rhinoplasty surgery & he made me so beautiful. Outstanding doctor! Saved my life! Dr. Caplan is an exceptional surgeon with an outstanding bedside manner. Performed reconstructive surgery and made me whole again! I highly recommend him! His office and staff are outstanding as well, very warm and professional.

I had hand surgery today, 11/7/16, to remove a cancerous tumor growth from my left hand. Dr. Caplan performed the surgery in his office and I'm extremely pleased with how efficiently and quickly he removed the tumor totally pain free. This was my first experience with Dr. Caplan and, in additional to being very professional, he was personable and made the surgery as pleasant an experience as possible! His staff was also very friendly and professional.
