I had two surgeries a month apart on the same problem. He had to do a second surgery because my Ulnar nerve didn't stay where he put it, which was to keep the nerve from floating around my elbow. Although he did wrap the nerve in what all docs use to keep it away from being pinched. The second surgery was to put the ulnar nerve somewhere in my elbow joint to keep it from doing the same thing. After the second surgery, my ring finger and pinky finger was and still is numb again, and worse than ever. Now I have the normal scar at the base of my hand, but I also now have a new scar which is almost 4 inches long on the inside arm at the elbow. I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands about 3-4 years ago by another doctor (who has passed away) and he didn't cut up my tricep or mess with any nerves at my elbow and afterwards my hands felt normal. I don't understand how carpal tunnel came back ???? wasn't explained to me. Dr Gabriel never took an X-ray of his work to show me.

Dr. Gabriel is awesome. He did surgery at the base of my thumb that had become very arthritic. Six months later my hand is healed up, my strength is back and you can hardly see the incision. I am very sad to know he is leaving the practice.

Dr. Gabriel showed me great care and was very intentional about ensuring my surgery went well.

My visits with Dr. Gabriel were in 2013 in Wichita, Kansas. My family doctor had decided that the pain and loss of function in my right arm was due to carpal tunnel. The nerve conduction doctor tested only that area and agreed. I was sent to Dr. Gabriel for surgery. Dr. Gabriel asked me what my complaints were. He analyzed what he thought was the root cause of my complaints, in a very systematic way. He related what he was thinking. He got me the needed surgery on my neck. No unneeded surgery!
