Dr. Courtright is probably one of the rudest physicians I have ever encountered. My husband was diagnosed with CLL and after five chemo treatments he was admitted to the hospital at Medical City Plano as that was where his regular oncologist was. Unfortunately he had to be hospitalized three more times and we chose Medical City Dallas as it was quite close to our home. Dr. Courtright came into my husband's room and his first comment was " why aren't you at Plano? Not how are you doing? The last time he was hospitalized and he had not been able to eat for two days before being admitted into the hospital. We asked about nourishment for him and after asking again why we weren't at Plano his comment was he can go for several days without nourishment. He also had the nerve to send us a bill for 25 minute visits when he was not there for two minutes and we requested another oncologist. My husband passed on March 17th after being in the hospital for 26 days.

Dr. Courtright has been my Oncologist for over a decade. He has continually and consistently been outstanding. I cannot say enough about him

Dr. Courtright is a very fine Doctor, the staff as a whole at Texas Oncology, is equally as professional as is Dr. Courtright.

I would rate Dr. Courtright a 20/10. He truly cares about his patients and provides them with the best service humanly possible. I would recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Courtright since 2011. He listens carefully and always takes his time. Everyone in the office is so nice.

I've been working with Dr. Courtright for four years. He's pleasant and answers any questions I have. The staff is great, and the whole operation (TX Oncology) is highly efficient. I've never had to wait any measurable time in the waiting or exam rooms. Face time with Dr. Courtright is pretty much tied to how sick I am, i.e., when I was very sick and losing weight, he spent a lot of time brainstorming ways I could get my appetite back. When my cancer metastasized, he recommended a plan of treatment but also referred me to another specialist to discuss an alternative form of treatment. Now that my cancer is stable, my discussions with him are shorter but still cover any questions I have. If you ask him to be honest and not sugar coat your prognosis, you will get an honest answer.

I believe Dr. Courtright to be a very intelligfent man. At the same time he is arrogant, and has a ego. Perhaps because he deals with dying patients he has to believe he is doing the correct thing. When I asked him to translate the radiologist"s report from my most recent scan he said he is the doctor and I didn't need to know. Well, it's my body and life and I would like the results in plain english. I will have another doctor translate the medical latin and greek. I asked for his email so I could communicate my reactions to the chem which are different each time, and was refuse, "I don't check my email, call my nurse. I told him I had and it took a long time to get a return call usually more than a day. He said call after hours and the answering service would reach him. Yes I am 75 and new to this. I contributed to the Nobel Prize, worked in research, worked in the ER of a hospital. I would like a doctor who wasn't afraid to have a conversation. between visits brushoff.

Dr. Courtright is comfortable to talk with and very supportive in information needs with great clarity and candor. Appointments are timely, never rushed, staff is always pleasant and professional. I am extremely grateful to have Dr. Courtright as part of the medical team in my treatment and management needs.
