Well about a year ago I gave an awesome review but be aware people, you will be seeing this doctor for years and one day he will just dismiss you without any thought. He doesn't truly care about your health or you as a person. It's all about money. I was cash pay, 500 bucks a month for appointments and prescriptions but once I got insurance, I was dropped. Plus he wanted to change a medication that has had so many positive effects to my life without seeing me for months and not really hearing me. You won't ever get to meet the doctor unless you go to the office and get past the staff. They don't answer the phone, if they do they just hang up on you. Tried 6 times now over the course of 2 weeks. I've never called during lunch break or while they were closed. During the hours they're open they might as well be closed.

I have been a Patient for over a year, in their Genesis Medical, in Ormond Beach. Although I've never met, "Dr. Jay" I have been taken well care of. The staff seems like most Medicaid Dr's offices, over worked and under paid. lol. The office manager Ebony really try's hard and is the guiding light of the practice. As most business' the employee's make the business. I really would recommend the practice.

I wrote a previous review but I want to clarify a few things. Dr. Jay is a wonderful doctor. He's the only doctor I can remember who really listened and helped. I would do anything to go back. I had a lapse in medication that had me upset and I took it out on the staff even though they work hard and have a lot of patients under their care. Not seeing him has put some perspective on how blessed I was to have him. No other doctor has been able to help with my condition (seizure disorder). The wait time is not bad at all.

The staff above and beyond for there patients

Have been a patient for 6 months never met Dr.Chanmugan. Only NP or other Drs working under his umbrella. Not bad just left feeling lacking, and unheard ,but I dont need to go often.Staff is good wait times are a little long

Dr. Chanmugam is by far one of the best doctors I've had. He truly cares about your health and wants to ensure he gets you the best care. I highly recommend him.

I am writing about Dr. Chanmugam when he is at Genesis Family Practice. I have never seen him at Prompt Care. Trying to reach him is a nightmare. 90% of the time your call goes into voicemail, half of the time you get a message that the mailbox is full. If you can leave a message They don't return it. He has very limited time that he is in the office. The last time that I saw him he didn't submit the prescription and I couldn't get through to his office for 3 days.

Very unlikely, he runs his office like an ER, seems like he is in a rush to get you in an out and doesn’t address concerns, his main focus is that everyone should be on a 800 calorie diet. Treats staff like crap, talks down to them.

This place is the worst the first time I went to this place they didn't see my daughter in law she was a minor but was married and they turn her away . Then I go back with my grand baby she was with 102 fever and they said I need it the mother I patiently waited for her mother to arrive when she arrived she sigh the paper work and they still made us wait with the baby 10 months old with a 102 fever and vomiting when they call another patient the patient was nice enough to tell the nurse to let the baby first cause she was very uncomfortable with the fever and everyone else in the waiting area agree for her to go in first even tho I was there before them so the patients knew that and I appreciate that from them but even tho they agree to it the staff still left us in the room and the doctor for like and hour and a half they took care of every one and left my baby for last.that was very unprofessional from the doctor and staff . Dr Jay is a great Doctor. Very nice staff

He is only there one day a week. You make an appointment with him, but get a PA with an attitude. On the day he is in the office, you may wait a few hours. I have changed primary care doctors.
