The doctors are great, it you actually get to talk to them. I had an adverse reaction to a new med, 2 days of calling and I won't get any assistance for another 2 days. This is completely and totally unacceptable for a psychiatrist prescribing new meds.

Had a bad experience long wait rude staff

They have repeatedly set up dates longer than my medication is prescribed to me for. I have ran out of medication multiple times under his watch. Here I am calling them for three times a day to try and get an appointment because they scheduled my first appointment during Covid then canceled. Nobody will ever pick up their phone and now I’m completely out of medication. I take anti-anxiety mood stabilizers and antidepressants. This is yet again another negative review being left... my appt schedules almost 3 weeks ago this week was not followed through. No call was received l have been more than patient waiting a couple days to wait and see if l would receive a call an yet and still nothing although on their answering service they say they will call back within 24 hours my dr is Micah is honestly great! But this is so unprofessional... like on so many levels! I should not have to reach out numerous times when l had a scheduled appt only to no be seen then all my messages go unresponseded to... this is so sad and so frustrating! Do better. Normally i would leave a great review... and normally i have had great service... great doctors ect i have been leaving messages for almost a week! Im completely out of one med thats for anti seizures and out of my anxiety meds... this happens all the time and im always having to call instead of my meds just lasting from appt to appt... when i seen dr debbie normally thats how things would go... I believe its EXTREMELY unprofessional and not only that its dangerous upon rwading further review how they continually let patients run out of antidepressants other medications .... if i can ever even get this prescription filled i will definitely say this will hopefully be my last time using this office! Fill out paperwork, waited while the office recovered from Covid, was offered tele-counseling for FIRST visit,said I wanted personal .I showed up on time and was ushered into a room for counseling session with a Nurse Practitioner. What is a nurse practitioner for counseling? Are they qualified LPC? I said no, my appointment was w. Dr Riaz. Front desk told me he had to juggle a woman patient in earlier but they'd ask him if he'd see me. They took my paperwork back to him and Dr Riaz told them no. They then told me, he was seeing very few new patients. So why was I given an appointment time with him? VERY unprofessional. I left after getting refund and my paperwork. Unprofessional, horrible experience. Now I am seeing professional help from different doctors just to help me with what experiences I had with this group. I felt very betrayed. My son also went to him. He passed away of a accidental overdose three years ago. I do not blame Dr. Riaz, but I believe that he could've done more to get help. My son had a heart of gold. Now I have horrible flashbacks of how we both were both treated. My heart will forever be broken. Very long story. Please be very careful who you trust. Dr. Riaz is comforting and funny. When I first had an appointment with him, he made me feel so much at ease listening to my problems with all his calm and composture. He was funny at the same moment. He has changed my life by 180 degrees. My previous doctors meds would make me drowsy a lot but his meds, they kept me active and fresh. I'm so so happy with my treatment. Dr. Riaz is comforting and funny. When I first had an appointment with him, he made me feel so much at ease listening to my problems with all his calm and composture. He was funny at the same moment. He has changed my life by 180 degrees. My previous doctors meds would make me drowsy a lot but his meds, they kept me active and fresh. I'm so so happy with my treatment.

They never call back and you have to wait for hours to get into scheduled appointments.

Don’t even see the ACTUAL dr during my appointments, all they push on me is a P/A who has already doctor signed prescriptions. DOESNT CARE IF YOU ARE OUT OF PSYCH MEDS!

I made an appointment with premier psychiatric out of desperation without realizing I would see Dr. Riaz. I decided to keep my appointment in dire need of refills. I sat in the waiting room for THREE HOURS all because Dr. Riaz was running late. I finally get into my appointment and there is another doctor in the private room with us as well(I was not made aware of the second training nurse beforehand and was not asked if I consented to another person in the room). During the consultation Dr. Riaz interrupted me to answer his personal cellphone 3 different times and each time he changed the subject right after as if he didnt even remember what we were talking about. This man and the entire practice DO NOT CARE. I called to reschedule my appointment once during office hours, no answer. Called again, someone picked up the line and immediately hung up on me. Called a third time and decided to just cancel my appointment and move on. I also saw Dr. Riaz while I was in the hospital and the things I heard about him from the other patients were terrifying, often doubtful of honesty of how patients would describe their situations and abuses his authority to keep patients from getting released. Dr riaz is the best. I’ve been treated with respect and professionalism every time I’ve seen him. Juanita is also a great benefit to his staff the magnetic treatment has helped me be a better me, my depression and anxiety have been treated making my overall physical health improved.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Riaz and his staff. The Dr. listens when I am describing what medications do and do NOT work for me, then makes adjustments accordingly. This has not always been the case with other Dr's. I have seen in the past. This kind of practice is tough because meds work differently for everyone. It takes some time to iron it all out, so be patient while the Dr. helps you work it out on the treatments. He has surely helped ME. I’ve been seeing Dr Riaz for over 10 years and I have nothing but great reviews of him. He has achieved what no other psychiatrist in Sherman has been able to do and that is perfect my Rx dosage. This has helped me achieve becoming a better member of society. I can now do things I haven’t been able to do my adult life. I have been through several doctors in this town and they were all sub par as far as courtesy and waiting time were concerned. Dr Riaz cares for me and for that I am grateful. I am a Mayor of a small town in Texas and was very hesitant to deal with my anxiety and other issues of mental health that I struggle with and I cannot say enough about the care that Dr. Riaz, Debbie, Duncan, and all the staff provide at this wonderful facility. I have now gone to Dr. Riaz for four years and by far, the treatment I have received is world-class. I would recommend Dr Riaz to everyone that I know and am truly thankful for Debbie, his PA who has been a rock in my life. You cannot go wrong with this medical facility and this staff who treat you like family. Christine Johnson, another reviewer said all I needed to say. He is arrogant, late to see patients, they do not answer or return phone calls, charge 200 $ for a copy of your records to be sent out. ...I could go on & on...I suggest to go to someone else

Let me just say that I'm posting this as the very concerned Mother of one this Doctor's patients. I recently had the misfortune of knowing just how terrible dealing with this man can be. My daughter was prescribed an incredibly harsh cocktail of meds by Dr Riaz. After a few months when she went back to complain about how these meds weren't helping her so he doubled the harshest one in the bunch. A mere 4 days later she's in the hospital because of an overdose. He tells her she should still take these meds. Really? She wants to wean herself off these meds and try something more natural. He tells her it won't work. Because obviously his meds worked so well right? There were also odd pieces of truth missing or maybe they were just outright lies. Either way this Dr seems to just be getting a paycheck from Cymbalta. I have no other idea why he would want to push this med so hard. I would post no stars if I could. He is a wonderful understanding and a great listener. The staff is very sweet and considerate.

The doctor was very professional very polite and very courteous. Although I have been to many psychiatrists in the past with having insomnia for over eight years, this is the first doctor that has actually figured out what medications work for me the best. His office person is wonderful. But this guy? How arrogant. We had an appointment for 1. He sailed in around 2. Then they took two people who came after we did, whose appointments were after ours. What? I asked, and was told "this is just how we set up the appointments." I do not know how much more disrespectful a provider can be. I did call back to make sure they weren't going to bill Medicare and the supplemental insurance. I'll check in a few weeks and make sure. We were there from one until two thirty. (Between the two of us, at our usual compensation rates, for an hour an a half, the guy owes us $210 for our inconvenience in waiting for him!) There were seven different patients (including us, which I count as one). Two were seen in that time. I would not recommend this guy for anything. If his manners are this poor, how can he know enough about American culture to be a psychiatrist for American people. THIS IS THE WRONG ADDRESS BTW. HE IS AT 921 LAMBERTH, #A. (In case you thought I was talking about someone else.) One other thing--if you should decide to make and keep and appt with this individual, and the phone rings and rings and rings and rings.... it is simply being ignored. There is a lot to be said for having a phone system that puts you in line, or gives you the option of leaving a message to be returned, you know, like very home in America. This is a landline is only picked up by a system if there is no one there. And if there is someone there, it is only one person, she cannot be everywhere, and she also sets up files, takes blood pressures, and is generally a nice person. The doctor obviously won't put out the money for an assistant for her. Keep going--this looks too much like a money making activity for him, and essentially nothing for you. I looked for a psychiatrist for a very long time in North Texas and had no luck ... When I called the office of Dr Riaz and they made an appointment right away I was relieved. Dr Riaz was there for when life wasn't and amazingly listened as well. I respect him and his manners ... To me he is the true definition of a Doctor... His staff and his team are there for you and make themselves available for your schedule... I am glad to be his patient.
