Dr. Javier A Perez

This was my first time to the doctor's new office building, and I was really impressed. It is a bright, clean space with an incredibly friendly staff. I had come for my yearly visit after undergoing cataract surgery in 2019 fortunately, things have gone smoothly since then, and everything came back great this time. All in all, it was a successful trip to the doctors!

After researching various ophthalmologists, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Perez. When the day arrived, it took forty minutes for me to be called in by the receptionist. Upon arrival, she checked my temperature prior to entering. I was pleased with the level of care they provided and felt confident in the process.

I've been seeing Dr Perez for a few years, and I'm so glad that I did! He's an amazing doctor not just because he's very knowledgeable, but also because he takes the time to answer all your questions. He truly cares about his patients, which is really refreshing to see. If you're searching for a great doctor, look no further than Dr Perez you won't be disappointed!

When I needed cataract surgery, my only choice was Dr. Perez. I decided to invest in the more expensive lens and laser option, and it was totally worth the cost. My vision is better than ever before, and for that reason I highly recommend Dr. Perez if someone else needs cataract surgery. I'm incredibly grateful for his skilled work!

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Perez about a month ago. I opted for a more expensive lens and laser which was a great decision. It as not cheap but certainly worth it. I'd recommend Dr. Perez to anyone considering cataract surgery.

The staff was nice and professional during my visit but Dr. Perez was rude, condescending and dismissive of my vision problem.

I have been going to Dr Perez now for a few years and he is a wonderful caring doctor who explains everything to you. I highly recommend Dr Perez to anyone who is looking for a doctor who cares about his patients and takes the time to address any concerns you may have.

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!! He only cares about the $$$$. My husband was a pt of Dr Perez's for 5 yrs. We have ALWAYS been excellent pts for our doctors as well as having excellent credit ratings. Last yr during Covid, a bill was in question after insurance paid. They NEVER spoke to my husband to clear it up. They sent his acct to COLLECTIONS?? and sent him a letter! It was for about$100 !!! We were in shock.My husband called immediately and paid the bill. They agreed to keep him as a pt. Last week he got appt reminders for next weeks annual appt. He called to make sure everything was fine. Wilmarie-office mgr told him, we dont take your ins anymore. My husband said he will pay out of pocket. She told him, he was not allowed to come back.!! I was furious at this, I called and spoke to her. She said they had had a problem with their billing person and apologized. She would ask Dr Perez to make sure he could return. THE DR SAID NO. My husband was terminated, not allowed back to the practice. I have worked in healthcare for over 38 yrs. This type of treatment is disgusting.

Dr Perez is the best in the Orlando area. Went to two other surgeons who wanted thousands of dollars out of pocket to do exactly what Dr Perez did which was all covered by my medical insurance. I trust him implicitly and would encourage anyone seeking an outstanding ophthalmologist surgeon who specializes in glaucoma and cataracts to contact him. He and his staff are outstanding!

New to the area and happy my wife and I found Dr. Perez. He is friendly and very knowledge. I have a rare eye condition that i found not all doctors know about and Dr Perez is very well informed about the disease.

I was looking for an opthalmologist over month ago and based on doctor's Perez reviews. I decided to make an appointment with him. Finally the time came. After waiting 40 minutes, the receptionist called me to take my body temperature with her "little gun" over my forehead area. I told her not on my head but in any other part of my body would be fine. She did it on my left arm. 20 minutes later they call me again to make the payment telling me clearly... is going to be $130. I asked her why $130? Then she says...oh! Wait! ...is just $30. 15 minutes later Dr. Javier Perez came out of his office with the same gadget on his hands to get my body temperature once again on my forehead area. I did explain him the same thing. Then he refused to do my treatment, turning his back on me going to his office. My only argument was thanking him for the hour and 15 minutes waiting for nothing then he turned around and in a very unprofessional way yelling me...NO! you are the one who wasted my time.!

Very good staff and clean office. The doctor was thorough and recommended cataract surgery to improve my sight. I am happy Dr. Perez was able to see me during the COVID19 epidemic.

Dr Perez was attentive and patient. Very good doctor happy he will be treating my husband and myself.

It was my first visit to the Doctor's new location. I love the new office space, it is bright, clean and staff is very friendly and welcoming. This was my yearly visit after having cataract surgery. I have had no issues since my surgeries in early 2016 and got excellent report this visit. Do not have to go back until 2020! Anytime someone talks about their eyes, I do recommend Dr. Perez. I think he is well educated in the treatment of eyes and eye diseases. He does not "hurry" with an office visit. He takes his time and always explains what he is looking for and what he sees. He always asks if I have any questions when he has completed his exam and explanation of his findings. I think he is THE BEST!

Everyone was very nice from the receptionist , all employees and specially to Dr Perez.

Everyone was very polite and friendly making you feel welcome! I was even given a water bottle for my walk back home!

It was very nice experience at the beginning but as time passed he got an attitude and at times nasty, always trying to talk you down and treating you like a child who needed reprimand. The last time when he came to the door he asked me: do you want to live here? That's because I had an eye infection which wasn't going away and he was rude when he then said I can't do anything else for you

Dr Javier Perez is very knowledgeable and spent time with us explaining how my eyes were doing, and also what the options were for improved vision. I never felt rushed and he gave me plenty of opportunity to ask questions. His staff were extremely polite and efficient. The office is very nice and clean. They were on time and explained everything that they were doing and the time required for each part of the process.

Dr. Perez is knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with his diagnosis and care. His staff is something different. I have never dealt with such a rude front desk girl in my life. His assistant wasn't personable either. I was already dealing with the stress of a serious eye condition and had to deal with their attitudes on top of it. It was a very unpleasant experience. Even though I really liked Dr. Perez I found another doctor so I wouldn't have to deal with his staff.

Just awful! Negligent decision making, pompous, arrogant and looking to make money at any cost, including patient safety. Stay away.
