I want to preface this by saying Ive worked in healthcare for the last 15 years. Im not just an angry mom or an angry patient My daughter WAS a softball player who went to Nielson with a very simple issue from a softball injury. He botched her surgery, he destroyed her knee and her life. she hasnt been able to play in years and is now preparing for her 3rd surgery. A friend of hers had surgery with him also he also had to have a 2nd surgery to repair his knee, his license should revoked. This man should not be practicing medicine.

The Dr has no respect for the child in pain. He did a quick search on line and printed out a recommendation without ever evaluating the patient. He said he based his judgement on the few questions he asked. His bedside manor is more suitable for animals.

Amazing surgeon on my 11 year olds ACL and meniscus surgery came out to make sure we understood the procedure that was done with my daughter and showed me a before and after picture

Dr. Nielsen is an extremely skilled and competent surgeon. My 12-year-old tore his ACL just prior to us moving to Vegas and I was thrilled to find Dr. Nielsen when we arrived. He did a beautiful job on my son and I felt totally at ease throughout the procedure and afterward with him in Dr. Nielsen’s care. I will say that he is incredibly busy and thus his interactions for follow-ups must be limited to the clinically necessary information and that could be interpreted as “dry” by some. He explains what you need to know and makes sure you have opportunities to ask questions. I have nothing but good things to say. Dr. Nielsen is an extremely skilled and competent surgeon. My wife, who is also a physician, and myself, a psychologist, could not be any happier with Dr. Nielson in how he treated our son and his torn ACL. We actually waited to travel from Texas to Las Vegas so that Dr. Nielson could perform the surgery. His expertise to both of us was quite clear and precise. It was wonderful having a physician who had the skill and confidence that Dr, Nielson has. We only trust certain people with both of our children, and we knew the minute we spoke with Dr. Nielson that his expertise, Harvard trained fellowship and commitment to excellence would ensure that our son received the best care possible. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend Dr. Nielson without any reservation!

I have been with Dr Nielson for 3 years now. He is amazing. He has treated me for discoid miniscus/tear in both knees and has done surgery to fix both of them. He is caring and has good bedside manner. He is really great and i would recommend him to anyone.

Was referred to this office by a athletic trainer for DP school and was ask to be put on hold I said OK after being on hold for so long the phone ring they pick up said nothing and put me on hold again and again. Oh well I guess they was just to busy.

Dr.Neilson is a wonderful Ortho Dr.He took really good care of my daughter when she had knee surgery.He explained everything and answered all my questions.He was very nice and professional.The front desk people are nice also.

Dr. Nielson is one of the best doctors our family has ever seen. He helped my oldest daughter with torn ligaments in her thumb from flag football, my youngest daughter with a broken leg, and my youngest son with a broken collarbone from riding his bike. Excellent treatment and very helpful demeanor by Dr Nielson and his staff!

Dr. Nielson has been our Orthopedic for many years and for three of our children. He is caring and very knowledgeable. Both of his partners are equally caring with great bed side manners also. I can not imagine not having Dr. Nielson in town. He has helped us with injuries many times and manages to fit us in. We are grateful to Dr. Nielson, Dr. Camp, Dr. Stewart and their wonderful staff! We were so thankful we were referred to Dr. Nielson for my daughters broken arm. Dr. Nielson was very professional and kind. We appreciate that he took the time to show us the xrays and explain everything, including the best treatment for my daughter. Dr. Nielson's staff was very nice as well, they all made her feel comfortable and safe. His Assistant Jason, was great with my daughter as well, he applied her cast and explained everything to us and was very gentle not to cause her any pain.

While I do not question Dr. Nielson's wealth of knowledge, he nor his staff seem to work well with children or understand how to deal with children based on their age. Furthermore, there seems to be no respect for a child's pain.

Dr, Nielson and staff were absolutely the best . I will recommend Dr. Nielson to every Parent I know. From the moment I called for appointment to the front desk staff to nurses and Dr. Nielson himself I was very impressed.Our wait wasn't long and we were given same day appointment due to Ankle/ Foot Injury .Dr. Nielson has wonderful bedside manner and was extremely knowledgeable in his diagnosis and follow through. We appreciate having such a wonderful Dr. here in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Nielson was referred by Summerlin Hospital and also our Pediatrician Office. Dr, Nielson and staff were absolutely the best . Nice doctor but it took an hour for me to even see him with an apt.... Staff is friendly but horrible service. Got shoulder surgery and had plates put in but still dislocating
