Beware of physicians rushing to stay on schedule. It can impair even the most qualifiedly trained specialists away from their attention to detail in their patients care.

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Lucas so I set up my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted promptly and checked in. I didn’t have to wait long. Dr. Lucas came in, was friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. It was really refreshing to see a Dr with a genuine smile and great attitude. He showed me my x-rays and explained what he saw and what steps we should take next, asking how I would prefer to proceed. He really cares about his patients and listens to their concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Lucas!

He was very personal. He was concerned about me like he was a friend and a Dr versus just a number. Staff was very nice. Only hiccup was the 30 minute wait in waiting room after my appointment time.

Had my post op appointment yesterday which included x-rays and Dr Lucas was very satisfied with the results. I have another follow-up in 4 weeks. As for the staff, they are exceptional professionals. I've been treated by Dr Lucas and his staff for years and hands down they're the best.

Really like the PA Sitney Chogas. He takes time to explain everything and listens to all concerns without making the pt feel rushed and he is very knowledgeable and answered all questions to my satisfaction. I trust Dr Lucas completely and feel that any procedure will go as planned.

Dr Lucas is a friendly and personable doctor. He explains his findings in a straightforward manner & is very approachable when he is asked to explain further. He offers various routes of treatment and suggests what he feels is more appropriate.

Upbeat & awesome provider! Explained the treatment plan, made sure we were assisted at the next stage of the visit.

I left messages for f/u visit after my MRI, did not ever get a return call for almost a month. Dr. Lucas actually had to notify me what happened with my MRI and why I did not come in after the MRI. Office staff needs to check messages and return calls.

Personal attention thoroughgoing at every visit! LISTENS to his patients! Good sense of humor!

Dr Lucas is busy but when with a patient, gives that patient 100% of his attention. Is kind & caring. Has performed my knee & shoulder replacements and I have had no problems whatsoever.

I see that he gets all of these great reviews, and I wonder how many he pays others to do. He and his office are not above lying about medical care needed. It was only by God's grace that I refused to go through with a surgery that he was going to do b/c of a very unpleasant encounter with one of his nurses, and I went instead to another doctor ---- and it turns out that THERE WAS NOTHING TO OPERATE ON. Lucas had said I had a torn meniscus, and there was NO meniscus left in my knee. The other doctor had difficulty saying anything about another doctor, which is how they are trained, but he finally told my case manager and I that disreputable doctors will do those kinds of operations because they are "cash cows." I would not have gotten better --- there was no way TO get better, and in about 6 months I would be complaining about the pain again (that he would have inflicted), and then he would be too happy to do another surgery. Absolutely disgusting.

Dr Lucas is awesome. He's operated on 3of our family members. Highly recommend him!

I saw Dr. Lucas as a second opinion for an injury to me right knee. I had already had surgery, PT, and several steroid shots. I was so impressed by his knowledge of my case, his recommendations, and his ability to see the physical and emotional pain I was in. He didn’t pussyfoot around. He gave me the facts and my options. He is such a great doctor..

I had excellent care and it was so professional. All my questions were answered and I was well taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone with problems.

Two days before I fractured my right wrist, I was attacked by a dog and had two lacerations on my right forearm. Dr. Lucas and his team took great care not only of my fractured wrist but my lacerations as well making sure that the fractures were healing correctly.

l highly recommend Dr. Lucas! He always makes me feel like I matter. He takes the time to answer all my questions. He truly cares and goes over the results of my x-rays. He doesn't herd you in like cattle seeing how many patients he can cram in in as little amount as time possible. It's obvious that he regards your concerns as he would if you were a family member. I really like Dr. Lucas and his assistants. They care for both my knees. Right now I am getting injections. I will eventually have to get a knee replacement, but I am totally glad that he will do it. Unlike Karen, I've never had any problem with their service. They are courteous and friendly. They listen to my concerns and do their best to care for them.

Dr. Lucas was very good before, during, and after my knee replacement. I recently went in for a 1 year follow up and ended up with a different doctor who did not have all my medical information, x-rays from before and I feel my visit was almost a total waste of my time. My knee is still very large but the doctor did say it was in good alignment. so that is what I got out of the visit. I do not like being pawned off to another doctor that is unable to have my history and answer my questions.

Rr. Lucas performed total shoulder replacement procedures on both sides last year and I am 1000% satisfied with the results. Now able to sleep all night without pain waking me every twenty minutes. Also able to do any outdoor activity I haven't been able to perform for many years. Post operative pain was nothing compared to what I dealt with prior to the surgeries so I didn't need to take the pain medication. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lucas !

Best my knee has felt in years

We are from Colorado. My wife had severe knee pain. Thank God, we found Dr. Lucas and OA in Farmington!!! The whole staff is fantastic from the time you walk in the door until the time you book your next appointment. Dr. Lucas did an outstanding job on my wife's knee. He is very professional, he explains everything thoroughly, he has great follow-up, and he is caring and courteous. Everyone we met in the office is super. The ladies at the front desk are fantastic. We will be back.

A good friend recommended Dr Lucas when I was having knee pain. I took her advice and the result was that I had total knee replacement. I was very satisfied with the entire process and have already recommended him to friends. Dr Lucas is not only a good doctor, but a wonderful guy to know!

Dr Lucas has seen me through two shoulder repairs, including rotator cuff, carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, and recurring knee injuries. All of these interventions have been complete successes. He's my "go to guy" when I break something.

Many years ago Dr. Lucas surgically repaired my husband's shoulders following numerous tennis related injuries. When Jim recently got a hard elevated bump on a surgical scar, it was a big concern. Not only did Dr. Lucas get Jim in immediately, he remembered him by name and was concerned and caring. Altho Jim had to give up tennis after his third surgery, he was, and is, able to play golf frequently. This is due in large part to Dr Lucas' skills; he's #1 in our book.

Dr. Lucas is AMAZING! He listened to my explanation of my knee symptoms & the circumstances. He provided a clear foagnosp explanation of the symptoms and we discussed treatment options. He’s kind, patient & genuinely ENGAGED with his patients. AND his staff are warm, kind & efficient. Shannon at the front desk always remembers me when I come in the front doir & greets me w/a big smile. You really can’t ask for better than that. I HIGHLY recommend this practice.
