I've been waiting for over two weeks to have a consultation scheduled for my son. Every time I call, I've had to wait for over 15 minutes for someone to finally answer. There seems to be confusion and slowness about what steps have to be taken just to schedule a consult. It should not be so hard to schedule a consultation. Time is important when you are dealing with a potential surgery for a kid who is looking forward to his first year of high school football. This organization does not seem to put priority on patient interactions. If you are too busy, just say we are too busy and don't waste precious time. Dr Kennedy did my daughters knee surgery and he was amazing. He is truly gifted at what he does and the pain control he offered after such a major surgery helpers her to heal quickly. I highly recommend him.

No communication between departments. For the past few weeks its been a waste of time due to the departments not being on one accord.

Dr. Kennedy himself gets a 5 star review. He was great with my son and was very polite and professional. His office staff or whoever schedules his appointments and surgeries is what lost stars. I would suggest a new office manager or office staff. Our referral was “never received” even though I called the ER we had visited the night before and they had all the details of the conversations and referral to his office. The official day for our apt to get a cast on a broken arm we were scheduled to be there at 8 and to have the procedure done at 10. I showed up at 7:45 to check in and make sure we were not late. We had to end up waiting until 2 pm to go back because (unknown to us until Dr. Kennedy told me after the procedure) Dr. Kennedy had already told his office BEFORE scheduling us that he had another surgery that morning and couldn’t do anything else until the afternoon. Not Dr. Kennedy’s fault but the office staffs fault. Now I have been trying to schedule the follow up appointment and have been told they would call me back and even after giving them my number they are still not contacting me. I gave them a date range that I could make an apt and was told that they would call me back. It hasn’t happened. They did call my husband and tell him I had made an apt on a day and that they weren’t going to do that day because it was to far away. The lady then gave my husband attitude because she told him we HAD to come in tomorrow and when he told her we both had to work and couldn’t take off without notice she because VERY rude and said she would call us back. He tried calling back not even 10 minutes later and they said they have already left for the day and that we would have to call back tomorrow at 8. We both work and I NEVER made an apt because no one ever called me back. This whole scheduling for Dr. Kennedy is the least professional doctors office I have ever dealt with. While Dr. Kennedy is great. I would save your time and energy and find someone whose staff knows how to schedule and run a medical office. Dr. Kennedy himself gets a 5 star review. Dr. Kennedy performed MPFL repairs on my son, one June 2020 and other October 2020. Every pre-surgery and post-op office visit has been thorough and not rushed. He makes sure my child understands what’s going on and makes him feel comfortable to ask any questions or express concerns. Both surgeries went very well. My son healed nicely and right according to schedule with the first and I am confident the second will heal just as well. Dr. Kennedy is personable and patient with his patients and their parents. We trust Dr. Kennedy and highly recommend him for orthopedic needs.

Dr. Kennedy was amazing. The staff was very courteous and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My daughter went out with a bang on her knee and completely tore her ACL and has tears in her meniscus and Dr. Kennedy was very prompt and explained to my daughter how important PT was after her upcoming surgery. Did a great job explaining the injury and the various options for treating it. Genuine compassion and great communicator. Spoke directly with my child and answered their questions appropriately. Highly recommend.

My son broke his femur in a freak accident. Dr. Kennedy at Cook Children's in Fort Worth was the surgeon who worked on his leg. Both my wife and my father-in-law are in the medical field, and they were very impressed with the quality of care provided by Dr. Kennedy. Dr. Kennedy performed ligament replacement and knee-cap re-grooving in the cartilage for my daughter. His work is amazing and she is doing much better- Thank you, Jesus! Thank you Dr. Kennedy as well!

We have been through a lot of medical issues lately. Throughout our journey we found there are many doctors and medical staff out there ripping self pay patients off. They know you don't have a choice but to get help and they make sure they take advantage of that. Jeers to Dr. Kennedy on 7th Street in Cooks Childrens. He charged us $350 for a 15 minute office visit (which they called extensive) and then because we forgot our copies of the xrays charged an additional $156 for 1 xray of 1 location. Our xrays we already had were done at Gateway for only $50 and they did 3!!! I called to discuss this with the office manager at Dr. Kennedy's office because it seemed very excessive for 15 minutes and was told sorry, but he worked hard during that 15 minutes doing an extensive exam. Doctors like this take advantage of self pay customers. Do not use him! We have been through a long journey and it's worth it to call around and get pricing.
