Dr.Harrod and team were amazing! From pre-op to post op, treatment and communication were outstanding! Dr. Harrod performed the Brostrom procedure and I am very pleased with my ankle repair overall. I am 3 months out and feeling great! Thank you to the whole BGO team that helped me! They were all fabulous! ????

Dr Harrod was amazing! I didn’t realize how bad my injury was, but he explained every step of the process and made me feel at ease that everything was going to be OK! And it was!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Jason Harrod at Bluegrass Orthopedics for his professionalism and expertise following my Achilles Surgery last week. Over the past year, following a serious accident with a tractor trailer, he explained all of the options available to me in an effort to correct the problem without having to have surgery. Unfortunately, this however was the only solution in the end. He thoroughly explained the entire process from day 1and what was to be expected following my operation. I very much look forward to regaining my ability to walk again without being in severe pain. Thank you sir for your expertise and you will always be highly recommended.

Dr. Harrod is extremely professional and likable. Explained everything in detail. Felt I was listened to and received excellent care so far. This practice is very well run and I was not left waiting for anything. Amazing.

I have been a patient of Dr Harrods for 4 years and I always feel he genuinely cares about my health. Dr. Harrods takes time to explain changes in my condition and how to best treat my pain and problems. I am very happy with him and all the other physicians.

Best comment I can make is in sharing Dr. Harrod’s manner of offering the three treatment options open/available to me: “Let’s meet you where you are.” Perfect medical bedside manner.

Anesthesiologist paid attention to my concerns about nausea after prior surgeries, I had no nausea after surgery on my broken ankle. I don’t think you could find a kinder doctor than Dr Harrod

My experience with Bluegrass Orthopedics and Dr Harrod DPM was very easy and calm. Everything was explained to me and all my questions answered. Dr Harrod and his staff are very kind and polite. I recommend them highly!

My appointment time went very well. Had very little time checking in and spending in waiting room. Taken to room to see Dr. Harrod and he was there within minutes. Everything was explained to me thoroughly. Day for surgery was scheduled to be in a time that was close. The staff were very helpful and made me feel comfortable.

Dr. Harrod is extremely intelligent, his diagnosis based on thorough analysis to the patient. He wast no time of telling me my options. He is patient and listens. I recommend him and I appreciate him. I left his office happy and walking better.

This was my first surgery and Dr. Harrod along with his staff have been tremendous throughout the days leading up to and after surgery. I would recommend Dr. Harrod to anyone. With this being my first surgery I was really nervous, Dr. Harrod answered all my questions and concerns and made me feel comfortable about having the surgery.

Had a rudness towards me for not getting an mri from another foot Dr. I knew I was coming back to see Dr Harrod and assumed he would want his own MRI so why have possibly 2! He then showed me the xray from other podiatrist and ordered the mri. He began questioning me about other rx I was taking for my chronic back and sacrum pain, which had nothing to do with why I was there. When I asked about where exactly was the bone on my foot again, he said " I already showed you, it's right there" and pointed to it again. He over talked me when I tried to ask questions. I'll not go back to him!

I’m a retuning patient to BGO. The first time experience was excellent! That visit was with Dr. DeAngelo (Knee). This visit I saw Dr. Harrod (foot). Another excellent experience! Dr. Harrod explained everything and presented me with a treatment plan… he asked me serval times if I had any questions. He obviously cares about his chosen profession and about his patients!

I was a walk in on a Monday morning. I was lucky enough to be seen in a speedy nature. Upon reviewing my EXray’s and CTscan they moved me to their foot specialist Jason S. Harrod. He seems to be very knowledgeable and made me feel like I am in good hands. After my surgery this week I will have a more complete review! So far so good!!

This practice seems to do many things to make your appointment as smooth and “hassle free” as possible. I had a foot problem and had been to a couple of other doctors. Had a very positive experience @ my appointment with Dr Jason Harrod. He was very concerned about my plantar fasciitis & took several steps to try and get this problem resolved!

Dr. Harrod and his staff were extremely professional and courteous. Dr. Harrod explained exactly what was going on, how he wanted to address the issue and then set a plan in place. I am very satisfied with my experience.

The only negative of this visit was the overly long wait time...much longer than usual. Won't stop me from coming back, though.

Every single person we encountered today was beyond amazing & nice. They listened to my 9 y.o. daughter and answered every question & concern she had. Dr Harrod took the time to repeat the diagnosis for me so I could correctly relay the information to my daughter's dad. I have never been anywhere where we were treated so amazingly by everyone. I am so thankful for every person that works there. Before the elevator doors were even closed my daughter said we need to give them 8 stars because even she was impressed and amazed by them all.

Dr. Harrod was very pleasant&professional. Listened to me, diagnosed my issues,&treated my problem immediately. I would not hesitate to see him again if a need should arise or hesitate to recommend him to others.

I had visited this Doctor some time back. Continuing with serious pain and looking for another doctor made me decide to review Harrod. Mine was terrible experience. Though highly recommended by an employee if this place, it couldn’t have been worse. But like other challenging reviews, this one will go unanswered as well as those! This Harrod gave me a prescribed brace’ and I went to get measured and casted so it could be made. Repeated calls from the brace facility went unanswered by Harrod. I wrote him a personal note that was hand delivered to him, he never responded to that either! I would highly recommend avoiding the alleged doctor. If there is ever a challenge or question, he hits instant defense and generally leaves the patient without fulfilling the needs, in my case of course! Look around! Good reviews only receive a reply! Staff and Doctor where very pleasant and felt the doctor listens and answered all my concerns. This aloud me to make the right decision for my care. Highly recommend

Doctor Harrod came in, looked at the x-ray and gave me couple of suggestion to help. We decided on a steroid shot in the toe. It was very painful, but he was very sympathetic. Told me it should take 24-48 hours to feel better. He was very professional and I left feeling like he cared about making me pain free.

Let me help you out! Do not waste your time with this doctor. He will make you wait for him for hours, he is overbooked, he doesn’t really find the solution for your problem. I’ve been in pain for months and this dude never once resolved my issue. My last appointment I walked out because he was so late that I couldn’t wait anymore. I’m talking over one to two hour late and waiting for him, not a few minutes, not just one time either but multiple times this happened. Visit with this doctor: Let’s see, saw my X-ray couldn’t find an issue, ask for a MRI$$$. Found a bone swallowing, made me wear a boot for 6 weeks, I came back to see him with the same problem, no solution for my problem, sends me to Physical Therapy which finds a difference issue in the MRI with no problem and helps me get better. I had a follow up to see him that I scheduled 8 weeks ago, I walked out of the appointment because he was extremely late. They are very disrespectful to your time and your schedule, the lack of attention you receive is poor and you feel rushed all the time. He’s just a robot moving humans in and out of their office as fast as possible.$$$ I would not recommend this place. Let me help you out! Do not waste your time with this doctor. DR Harrod and the staff provide excellent care and have taken very good care of me and my wife.

What a relief it was to be seen by a doctor who has my recovery as his focus. Dr.Harrod addressed concerns that other doctors and physicians assistants at other facilities have been evading and/or ignoring since my injury happened. He prescribed physical therapy to help gain function and get me back on my feet. I’m looking forward to a pain free future and feel like I’m actually on the right path now. Thank you So much! I broke my ankle in August of 2021, at the urging of many friends that I get a second opinion at Bluegrass Orthopedics in Lexington, I called and made an appointment. I am so thankful that I did! I required surgery to repair my ankle and Dr. Harrod was my surgeon. They explained everything from beginning to end and I never ran into even one rude person at the clinic. My ankle healed perfectly, I did PT in my hometown and was released from them after a month. I followed up with Dr. Harrod yesterday (Feb 28) and he released me. I have zero pain, zero limp and barely even a visible scar even though it is about five inches long. I have recommended two more patients there and will only go to them if I ever need them again (I hope not!) I would give them ten stars if I could! Dr Harrod is a credit to his profession. He is patient, listens to you, answers any questions or concerns you may have and is very thorough. When he is treating you, you would think you were the only patient he had and he does not make you feel rushed. I am so thankful to have him as part of my medical team and appreciate them getting me in promptly when I have had an injury. Really a nice man and outstanding practitioner. Dr. Harrod was thorough and informative. He made sure that he gathered more than enough information from me and about my injury to help develop a treatment plan that would give me the most opportunity for healing and a successful recovery.

Dr. Harrod gave me options to my fracture. He explained each option and started at the least invasive to the most invasive.

The wait was unfortunate but the care is superb and it does not take long once you are seen.

I would highly recommend dr Jarrod. He is always friendly and takes his time explaining in simple terms what my problem was an what treatment was best for my foot problem. Each visit he was as concerned with my problem as he was with my first visit. He never rushed my visits an he always took time to explain everything to me about my condition. I highly recommend him. I would never consider going to another dr with my foot problem. He will always be my first choice.

I can only suggest one thing for Dr. Harrod.... his bedside manner. He always seems so rushed and doesn't always make you feel heard. Although I am big on being an advocate for myself, I know others aren't. He is always knowledgeable and I do not have doubts about his care. The staff at the office are always very helpful as well.
