Dr. Wolter is an amazing very skilled, caring, knowledgeable, competent, and very professional doctor. I am sure the bad reviews were not patients of his or has other issues that were not in Dr. Wolter’s control.

This guy is a real piece of work. And Not in a good way. I wouldn’t let him assist my child with a pair of scissors. Let alone operate on my spine. Unprofessional, and rude. Emphasis on RUDE.

Dr Wolter has been my Neurosurgeon at the KC VA for two years. In 2020 he performed a successful nerve elbow procedure on me. This year (2021) he performed 3 laminectomies on my lower back and removed a large mass of arthritis attached to my spine. MY pain was gone, and I do not notice any reduced mobility. Before this surgery I could not stand nor walk over 60 seconds without excruciating pain. Dr. Wolter is excellent explaining X-rays and an MRI. His bedside manners are the best in comparison to any other doctors I have dad. He does NOT flaunt his knowledge, nor does he speak down to his patients. He is polite and respectful of his patients needs. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses I do not take blood transfusions. Although, I am happy to take volume expanders as well as other alternatives to blood. I was concerned to find a doctor that would respect my desire on this important issue. After our discussion over the issue Dr. Wolter graciously and with deep respect honored my

I don’t understand some of the ratings unless they had to do with the VA itself. I think the Doctor is great and was very polite and helpful. He was very good at explaining the tests.
