Great doctor! He spent ample time to examine the patient. Explained the findings and treatment plan very well. Gave us treatment options. Did not push us to buy expensive lotions and creams (what most of the other dermatologists do). He is one of those good old fashion doctors who practice medicine the way it should be. Great doctor! He spent ample time to examine the patient. Explained the findings and treatment plan very well. Gave us treatment options. Did not push us to buy expensive lotions and creams (what most of the other dermatologists do). He is one of those good old fashion doctors who practice medicine the way it should be. I highly recommend Dr. Waldman.

This dr. was very sarcastic and greedy he charged me almost 400 dollars to do nothing for me.He was more preoccupied to go and play golf for the weekend

I had calloused finger tips. I had been playing stringed instruments for the past forty-five years and was never bothered by them until my nails began growing improperly and my finger tips began peeling, cracking and bleeding causing unbearable pain. So, I made an appointment with a dermatologist. I had a number of appointments with James S. Waldman, M.D. James S. Waldman, M.D. did not believe I had calluses and continued to prescribe cortisone cream. During my treatment plan with James S. Waldman, M.D. my condition became worse as well as the pain. I plead with James S. Waldman, M.D. for any kind of treatment or remedy for calluses. Each appointment James S. Waldman, M.D. insisted there was no treatment for removing calluses. Two years later, with no effective treatment I could find, in unbearable pain and left with constant peeling, cracking, bloody and calloused finger tips I unfortunately had to have one finger amputated. Two years after that I had a ray resection surgery in a desperate attempt to alleviate the constant and unbearable pain resulting from the amputation. It has been five years now since my finger was amputated. I will need to cope with and endure constant hand pain for the rest of my life due to the ignorant, misinformed, thoughtless, careless, deceptive and bad treatment I received from James S. Waldman, M.D. A pre-med intern should be able to diagnose damaged, calloused skin and be informed of the very simple treatment. Three months after my finger was amputated I finally discovered Curad Mediplast Callus Remover Pads. Hospitals use them regularly on patients suffering from calluses. I could only find and buy them on-line. Within a month the calluses softened and peeled off, my fingers healed and my fingernails began to grow normally again. I hope physicians as well as those searching for a remedy for calluses can learn and benefit from my painfully tragic, life altering misfortune. This whole experience has been and will continue to be a real life nightmare. James S. Waldman, M.D. treated me with disrespect, arrogance, patronization and ultimately pure ignorance. James S. Waldman, M.D. refused to listen to me, disregarded my actual condition and led me to believe there was no cure or treatment for calluses. I wish James S. I developed finger calluses from playing stringed instruments. My nails grew improperly and my fingertips peeled, cracked and bled causing unbearable pain. He repeatedly insisted there was no treatment for calluses. Three months after I had a finger amputated due to damage resulting from doctors' mistreatment, cracking, peeling, bleeding, callused fingertips (and subsequently a ray resection relieving some of the pain from the amputation) I finally found Curad Mediplast callus removing pads. Hospitals use them regularly. Within a month my calluses peeled off, my fingertips healed and my fingernails began growing normally. Dr. Waldman and staff are excellent! My daughter had an atypical mole and needed it removed and I think Dr. Waldman and staff gave up their lunch hour to get her in the same day I called because she was scheduled to leave for college in 10 days. And they apologized to me for a very brief wait time! Dr. Waldman is very thorough, which is of the utmost importance to me because of a strong family history of melanoma. He chatted with my daughter about local high school sports during her excision to keep her mind off of it. Great experience with this doctor and his office. Dr. Waldman and staff are excellent! I agree with the other review. Dr Waldman took several biopsies when I didn’t need them and changed me. The office staff is very rude and ran my credit card for $100 over what I authorize them to.

Remember when your doctor treated you like part of the family? I do... Last Thanksgiving I was riding my mountain bike when I hit a cactus with my left hand. It was one of those big cactuses with the 2" steel-like needles, with about a dozen of them now lodged in my fingers and knuckles, deep, and incredibly painful. I placed a call - his office was closed but I left a message and Dr. Waldman called me back. Get this - - - He asked me to meet him in his office - - - on Thanksgiving! He made a special trip with just him, his (cool) teenaged son and me in the office. He spent about 2 hours surgically removing the needles, some sticking out, others hidden under the skin - everywhere. Gentle and Meticulous. You just don't see this kind of doctor everyday. Truly exceptional - caring and dedicated - these words that don't even rise to the level of what you can expect from Dr. Waldman. Remember when your doctor treated you like part of the family? I do... Dr. Waldman is the most thorough, competent dermatologist I have ever experienced. He is gentle, competent and gave me many options. He has also cared for my husband and his many facial melanomas and I have referred him to 3 of my friends who have also been grateful for the recommendation and the care they received.

My husband and I have been patients for years. Dr. Waldman does beautiful plastic repair on skin lesions. He is informative, never rushing, warm and gracious with a great sense of humor.

I am a stage IV internal melanoma cancer survivor, in remission 18 months. Internal melanoma is skin cancer than goes inside the body and directly to vital organs; lung, kidney, brain and heart. I have had two lobes of my right lung removed, part of my kidney, and had various other surgeries since I was diagnosed in January of 2005. Why am I telling you this? Because the condition of my skin is essential to keeping my cancer at bay. Dr. Waldman is very aggressive and has detected [through biopsy] and removed several squamous cancers which had they gone undetected would have proved fatal. He has also found three basal cell and I continue to see him every three or so months. I am grateful for a doctor who fights for me. He knows that his thoroughness is the key to my ability to stay in my young grandchildren's world for years to come. I have sent my adult daughter, who obviously has melanoma in her history, to Dr. Waldman and she sees him bi-annually. I recommend him vigorously and without hesitation.
