Roswell Park Cancer Institute saved my life. 21 years later I continue my yearly journey to Roswell Park to keep my medical status in check. I had the pleasure, at my most recent visit, to meet Dr Thompson. We had a great discussion. He is truly a medical expert coupled with compassion and kindness.

He's patient, professional, does not rush my questions and a rarity for doctors... actually answers my written questions in a very timely and thorough manner. In short.... we wouldn't want anyone else for a leukemia doctor.

When I was diagnosed with AML it was one of the darkest and most confusing experiences of my life. Dr. Thompson explained things in a way I could fully understand. I knew what was going on, what the plan going forward was and what to expect of everything. I was able to focus on what I needed to do for myself because I had full trust in him and the staff that they had a handle on the medical side of what was going on.
