Dr. Schwendig performed an emergent surgery on me for a bowel obstruction and herniated intestine. I feel very lucky that he was the trauma surgeon that performed my surgery. He was very informative, personable and technically competent and his decision to operate immediately most likely saved my intestines. Dr. Schwendig was very thorough in his explanation and took the time to explain this to me as well as spoke on the phone with my dad and husband.
