Dr. Schuster is a great surgeon and person. He saved my mom's life after a bad fall, performing a craniotomy to remove a chronic subdural hematoma. I will always be grateful for what he did, and highly recommend him in every way possible.

Absolutely incredible in every respect... as a specialist, as a person, as a compassionate human being... Dr. Schuster literally saved my life.. and he and his entire team have been absolutely amazing throughout the process. I wish I never met him, but I am glad he was the one who had to put me back together...

Dr. Schuster seems to have alot of good reviews. I am not understanding how! My friend came in with serious issues with his spine/neck. He had to jump through hoops, just to get an appointment with Dr. Schuster. Since he was from the V.A., Dr. Schuster wouldn't give him the time of day. He didn't look at any of his MRI reels or any of his record. Meanwhile, another Penn Neurosurgeon told him he has 3 months tops until he is paralyzed from the neck down. His spine is separating at his neck. So, if I could leave 0 stars for the wonderful Dr. Schuster, I would. Dr. Scuster, eat a d*** Dr. Schuster seems to have alot of good reviews. Top notch, best in the business, professional surgeon I have ever met! I'm in health care and have met a lot of physicians / surgeons over the years that don't come close to Dr. Schuster's skill level!

As today marks the 10th year of my craniotomy and laminectomy for Arnold Chiari Malformation I, I felt compelled to express my gratitude for Dr. Schuster. There isn't a negative thing to say from his gracious attitude, to his phenomenal bed side manner, to his high quality of professionalism, Dr. Schuster gave me my life back, I had almost given up and 10 years later I am great. Received an ACDF about 6 weeks ago and feeling so much better. My symptoms had been bothering me for about 6 years and eventually it came to a head with severe radiculopathy and weakness. Two of my physician friends referred me to Dr Schuster and I was seen and operated on rather quickly. The surgery went better than expected and I was home the next day. The care I received at Presby was amazing and I highly recommend Dr. Schuster and his team if you need surgery. Minus a little back strain from my new disk height I am completely healed and back to physical therapy and exercising in under 2 months! Received an ACDF about 6 weeks ago and feeling so much better. Please do not use this doctor. He was horrible. Did not show his face before or after survery, just his "team". He just kept ordering more and more pain medication. Team almost gave wrong medication, this was caught thankfully by my father. When the surgery failed he was completely unavailable. Very dismissive and denied all other testing and reports that showed there was still a major problem AFTER the surgery. My mother is in the worst pain of her life and trying to get relief elsewhere.

Skillful spinal fusion operation October 2011. Still pain free after 5 years. Liked dr.'s post operative advice that no brace or walker was necessary. Made me feel that I wasn't an invalid post op. Advice to walk as much as possible to build bone was good.
