Ive nicknamed Dr McCarthy Dr. GHOST. I saw him once before my double mastectomy for the initial visit. Three months into my reconstruction process and I have not seen him once. He could care less how my healing process is going or why I have a hematoma that will not go away. I'm totally unimpressed. Very scary time with breast cancer and he could care less. Dr. McCarthy is very nice but his work was a total mess. I had mini tummy tuck with an incision that is totally crooked and after spending $7000 and two years later, i look like I never had it done. I exercise 4 times wkly and eat very healthy and have not gained weight. My tummy is totally back to where it was, very soft and flabby, totally waste of my hard earned money! Would not recommend!! Scheduled appointment July 1st for August 25th, that's 56 DAYS in advance. The day of the appointment I received a call asking me to reschedule for a later date. I'm so angry. Why make appointments you cannot keep? What kind of fraudulent business scam is this? May I charge you, Dr (?) McCarthy for my wasted time? If I did not show for the appointment I'm sure you'd charge me. And....what's with the note to show up 15 minutes early? Schedule it 15 minutes earlier. Oh, I get it, it's another way to strengthen control of the doctor over the patient. The US medical industry is such a fraud. I'd move to Canada if I could get across the border !! A very lovely man-- patient, listens well, understanding, thorough. He made sure to answer all my questions with kindness, and he applauded my advocacy of myself as a patient.

I love Dr McCarthy. He is one of the kindest, most caring people I have met. However, I was very disappointed in my care. Dr McCarthy performed breast reconstructive surgery following mastectomy. The outcome is so disappointing that I am now making plans with another surgeon to have them removed. This was a very difficult and long procedure to recover from and hard to accept the outcome. I've thought hard about leaving a negative review but I don't want another woman to experience what I have gone through.

Absolutely terrible nursing staff! A physician is only as good as the employees he surrounds himself with.

An absolutely amazing physician and human. Listens, spends time explaining details and works hard to get the desired outcome. I would highly recommend Dr. McCarthy and his lovely team of professionals. From calls to visits everyone does a wonderful job.

Carpel Tunnel of both hands and an ulnar nerve release was done by Dr McCarthy for me. I am extremely pleased with the results and quality care that I have received from Dr McCarthy and his staff. All of my concerns and questions were addressed before and after the surgery. I have been treated with genuine concern and respect from the very first visit. Dr. James McCarthy did my blepharoplasty December 7th, 2018. He has a very calm, soothing manner. I was relaxed going into surgery. His follow-up is excellent. I had quite a bit of wrinkly saggy skin, hanging over my eyelids, impairing my peripheral vision. Dr. James McCarthy removed it all. Recovery was more comfortable than I expected.
