Dr. James Wells Hutchison

I called to set up an appointment with this man. He tells me appointments are only in person (During COVID a little extreme, but I am in destress). He also offers to see me today since he had a cancellation(awesome!) He informs me he accepts cash or check only, and I conversationally let him know that if he wants to update his payment system, that I would be happy to help. (I work in IT and card systems are easy.) I am just grateful someone was able to see me. At this point he informs me that he does not want to update, and he does not want to talk to me. He tells ME to cancel the appointment and hangs up on me. I have NEVER experienced defensiveness like that, and I worked a help desk for years. Considering this man's profession, this is the most unprofessional behavior that I have seen. It disgusts me to think that he could do that to someone else in an even more vulnerable state than I am currently in, and what the repercussion could be. Find someone else. Do yourself a favor.

Dr. Hutchison has helped my family with distress in the past, and is a wonderful, and professional Dr. His expertise, and experience has me seeking his expertise once again. I completely trust him with my delicate care. I would recommend Dr. Hutchison to anyone seeking help. Five stars easily!

He listens to me. He is a good counselor. He cares about people.

I called to try to set up a new patient appointment for family therapy. I began to explain my situation & he interrupts with "I don't do that line of work, sorry. Ba Bye," & literally hangs up on me. Who does that to someone reaching out for help for their family?? Terrible person.

Dr. Hutchison has been a remarkable resource for me and my family over several years -- helping me and my young children cope with divorce and loss, and then rebuilding our lives. He is kind, insightful and willing to go deep into the trenches with you to figure out what is happening and what can help alleviate the distress. you're experiencing His expertise and candor help us face life's challenges with dignity and grace. I highly recommend him.
