I would follow Dr. Grua, anywhere his practice takes him. If I had to fly out of state to stay with him I would without hesitation. I posted this originally years ago, and I totally stand by this still. Dr Grua saved my life. I will probably cry when he retires.

There is never a long wait! Staff is awesome and Dr. Grua is one of the best Love his personality!!

I am not sure how he got good reviews. He didn't listen to me. Then he said, convince me you have thyroid issues. After telling him everything, he said, im not convinced. I've been to two doctors and they both diagnosed me. I'm just trying to have all my doctor in the salt lake area. Then he goes off about Biden. Who cares.. I'm here to find a new doctor in the area.I wish I could give him a zero stars.

Super Doctor and very hard working assistant-Chris. They went above and beyond to get specilaty meds approved. Even though there were delays by several parties, who kept pointing the finger at everyone else, Chris & Dr Grua persisted and got the approval. Their bedside manner is also amazing and they do care about the patient. Thank-you again!

The check-in is personal and very good. The waiting area is huge and there's plenty of space to wait. Everything is clean. The doctors and all the assistants are about the best I've ever seen anywhere. Let's go ahead and say they are the best!!

The entire visit to see Dr. Grua was enjoyable. Starting at the front desk with Janessa, she was friendly and eased my anxiety of going to the doctor. Dr. Grua and his associate, Lisa, were kind and friendly. I liked the way that Dr. Grua explained what he was testing for, including drawing pictures for me. Lisa was very helpful in adding to the explanation and answering questions. I highly recommend this doctor.

I left a message for them to talk with them about something very personal and still to this day, have not heard back from them and that was approximately 5 months ago. NOT happy at all with them. Needless to say, I switched Dr's.

Doctor Gria was very helpful! He explained everything so thoroughly, and jelpped me better understand my health in relation to my thyroid.

Dr. Great is one of my favorite Docters. He has been my Dr. Since 2011. He takes very good care of me.

I saw Dr Grua in the Saint George clinic. I’ve had a list of medical problems that doctors have not been able to figure out. Dr. Grua was diligent and tried to help me the best he could. Although Dr. Grua couldn’t find any issues he was very thorough. I highly recommend seeing him. He is polite, funny, kind, and hard working. His assistants are also awesome.

Very thorough and personable.

I love seeing Dr Grua and Lisa he always makes me feel young and no matter how bad I feel he always makes me feel better when I go I never wait very long and the nurse is amazing when she hast to take your blood even if it is in the forearm we’re lucky to have them.

I love that Dr Grua is so human and personal as he communicates. He is open to patient ideas and willing to think out of the box. He always digs deaper to get to the real medical issues.

Dr. Grua and his assistant were absolutely amazing. They were both very kind and extremely friendly. I can't imagine how stressful their job can be, but they made sure I was comfortable and in good spirits for what could have been some bad news.

If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. This office instructed me to obtain a referral to see Dr.Grua for Type 1 Diabetes. His office staff spoke to me every time I called to check on my referral and I mentioned my diabetes every time, and expressed the urgency of seeing someone quickly, to which they kept saying “give us another week to process your referral.” The referral that they requested so they could get me in to Dr.Grua for Type 1 Diabetes. I was very transparent about my needs, apparently they just aren’t organized or trained well enough to know what the doctor they work for even treats. They sat on my referral for a month, then when I requested to escalate my request after being told yet again to wait another week for my referral to be reviewed, I was finally informed by the only decent person I communicated w at this office that Dr.Grua hasn’t treated diabetes for 25 years. The person I spoke to was aware I was trying to be seen for my Type 1 Diabetes. If I’d hung up and called a week later, like I was told to before I requested an escalated call, I’d still be waiting for a call back and getting kicked down the road, week by week. I’m dealing w high morning sugars and every day that I wake up w high sugar, it causes wear and tear on my health and vital organs, which is something I made sure his office was aware of. And Adrian Terri (spellcheck) was suggested to me as a doc who treats T1D at this office, and she may be able to fit me in. I called the number I was given for her MA and she answered the line herself. Her reply was “I don’t have space for a new patient till September.” Never mind the urgency that her office staff created by stringing me along for so long, a situation that I definitely informed her of. There is honestly one good person in this office who can do their job (if I remember correctly her name was Chris or Krissy), and she’s the kind and caring person who at least tried to get Dr.Terri to see me, but she can only do so much when everyone else there who’s in the business of caring for patients clearly went into the wrong field. Don’t let them waste your time, too. They are having trouble caring for the patients that they have, and clearly can’t handle a higher case load. To be perfectly clear, I spoke to the front desk numerous times, each time mentioning that I’m a Type 1 and have had issues w a.m. sugar control. At no point in my repeated calls did anyone say “our doc does not treat type 1 diabetes.” I was assured each time that he’d review my referral and they would get me scheduled. I called Utah Endocrinology Associates, let them know what’s going on, and I have an appointment with them on June 16th and am also on the cancellations list. This is obviously an improvement on having to wait till September and never even getting my requested referral reviewed when repeatedly promised that I’d “only need to wait another week.” If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. Dr Grua and his nurse truly care about patients. They take the time to get to know you and explain things so you understand. I would highly recommend Dr Grua and his staff.

Impossible to schedule an appointment. Called yesterday during business hours, no one picked up. Called today during business hours, only got a voicemail saying they will only schedule with a faxed referral. Won’t be going to this doctor, what if I really needed to talk to someone?

I've been seeing Dr. Grua for a few years after having my thyroid removed and he's been great. He's very knowledgeable and has helped me dial in the right dose of hormones. He has an interesting sense of humor which make visits fun.

Impossible to schedule an appointment, even with multiple referrals from a doctor. Maybe they should get a working fax machine.

I was referred to James Grua by my primary physician as I have struggled with hoshimotos disease for years. Without even seeing me as a patient his exact words were " I don't want to waste your time or money." And recommend I cancel my appointment. How disappointing to see in someone who says they are a doctor. The lack of care and concern from a Dr is so disheartening. I was excited to finally talk to someone who might be help with what I have been struggling to manage for years. I will be canceling my appointment as recommended. Dr. Grua has been my endocrinologist for 13 years and I love him. I really credit him with improving my life with his diagnosis and his compassion. I would have given 5 stars but I absolutely hate granger medical. The staff is rude and unhelpful. Worse yet, then seem to be disorganized and I’ve actually had trouble reaching them with phone numbers they have texted me themselves to confirm appointments.
