Dr. Ahmad was inattentive and unconcerned about my needs. I am currently suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, and walking for me is unbearable. I explained my condition to Dr. Ahmad and how crucial walking/running is in my profession. Dr. Ahmad was unconcerned, unaffected, and inattentive to my needs. Instead, Dr. Ahmad recommended a course of action for me that was not feasible, not practical, and his suggestions were things that I had already done prior to seeing him. I communicated this to Dr. Ahmad, and he did not care! I subsequently limped out of his office, untreated. It was a complete waste of my day. I am now in the process of locating a doctor who actually cares about his patients and who is willing to help me. My experience with Dr. Ahmad was not only disappointing but it was frustrating. I came to Dr. Ahmad following “bad” surgery outside of NorthShore. He got me back on my feet when I thought I’d never walk normally and without pain ever again. He’s an astoundingly good listener and communicator, trustworthy, caring, friendly, patient, and confident. Who could ask for anything more? Dr. Ahmad clearly loves his job and expects his patients to make full recoveries … even if he DIDN’T do the surgery! Thankfully, with the knowledge and confidence that I’ll return to my former physical ability, I also now have a highly skilled, young doctor to look after my feet in the longterm. What a reassuring feeling! This surgeon is a Godsend, and his office is impeccably run, competent, friendly, responsive, and always on time. Thank you for your care :)

Dr Armad is the worst doctor! I had a simple hammer toe surgery done by him and within 24 hours my foot was turning black with an infection He did absolutely NOTHING and because of insurance I couldn’t change doctors til six weeks even tho I did get a second opinion from a Wonderful Dr. Kelikian Long story short I had a dead tendon on the top of my foot That was removed by another wonderful Dr Burke . I also did 6 weeks of daily intravenous IVs Of antibiotics because Dr thought my infection had gone to my bone I also had to have 21 visits to a Wound Care clinic To a Marvelous Presifina,Who I actually believed saved my foot. I also endured PT for 18 visits and to this day I still have a deformity. I would not send my dead dog to Dr Armad

I had a large heel welt and a bone spur that became a nagging injury with age. I still casually pursue high impact sports and it really hurt after skating or running. It's been six months since Dr. Ahmad removed the bone spur and the bursitis from my heel. I'm almost back to 100%. I just need to build up some muscle strength. I'm back to high impact sports and don't have any more nagging pain. I'd recommend him for surgery if you're older and want to stay active. He got me back to being pain-free and was clear on the expectations post-surgery.

Dr. Ahmad preferred not to listen to my details of my injury but instead have me shut up and answer only "yes" or "no" to his standard list of questions. His staff were completely uncooperative with getting images on my prior MRI disc that I brought there personally and later they claim it's no longer there. Nurses directed me standard outdated solutions instead of reading the details of a prolonged injury and length of time of prior treatments.

Everything Dr. Ahmad said regarding my surgery was spot on. It was a difficult recovery but I knew going in it wasn’t going to be easy. I now have NO pain and make strides towards total recovery each day. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad. He and his support staff are terrific!

We've seen Dr. Ahmad for my son's foot when he had an unexpected injury & for an ankle problem. My son is an athlete and Dr Ahmad was very empathetic to his problem and gave my son really good treatment and advice. His staff is also very supportive and is extremely responsive to any questions and concerns. He is very approachable and returns calls and messages promptly which is a huge thing when the patient is anxious about recovery. I would totally go to him again.

This so called Dr. is by far the most incompetent, irresponsible butcher I've ever encountered. He will soon be facing very difficult questions from The Department Of Professional & Financial Regulation for his unethical and negligent practices. I can only strongly suggest that you seek your orthopedic needs anywhere but with this incompetent negligent person that just happens to have an surgical license. Run for your life ..literally !!!!

I don't even know what the doctor is like. They cancelled my first appointment six days before I was scheduled because "someone more important needed that time." I don't even want to reschedule because they obviously have no problem bumping someone out.

Very caring doctor. Does a very thorough job.. he caught something my 12 y.o. daughter had (bone marrow edema) that could have progressed into something much worse. She trains several hours a week in ballet/pointe and this is the second time Dr. Ahmed helped us with her foot issues.

Dr. Ahmad is a professional in every sense. His explantation of patient's problems are easily understood. The Dr. is prompt for appointments and always professional.

My 78 year old mother had a really painful bunion on her left foot. Thankfully, we were referred to Dr. Ahmad who performed surgery around two months ago. Her recovery was great and relatively quick. During these difficult times, Dr. Ahmad and the nurses all made my mother feel comfortable during the process. Especially being that no one could accompany her due to the pandemic and she doesn't speak English fluently. We cannot thank Dr. Ahmad and the staff enough for such caring and professional help. We would definitely recommend Dr. Ahmad to anyone who needs foot surgery.

Dr. Ahmad is one of the best. He explained every step before my ankle surgery to the smallest detail, then post op treatment was handled in the best professional manner. He is very caring and this definitely helped me a lot physically and mentally in my recovery process. Now I am in my last phase of P.T and things are going better than expected. Thank you!

After having pain in my ankle that was not improving with a splint, my ortho ordered a CT scan and referred me to Dr. Ahmad. After Dr. Ahmad immobilized my foot and ankle with a boot for 9 weeks, my pain improved immensely. I am now in a supportive splint and finishing up with PT and walking with zero pain. He assured that with continued therapy at home, I will be back to normal activity and exercise.

I recently had foot surgery by Dr. Ahmad. I am very pleased and satisfied with the results of my surgery. Dr. Ahmad and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dr. Ahmad to anyone who needs foot surgery.

Dr Ahmad and his staff are kind, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had regarding my treatment for my broken ankle . My ankle had to be surgically repaired and Dr Ahmad did an excellent job. I had no pain after surgery and healed up great.

Dr. Ahmad was extremely kind and professional. This was in stark contrast to a previous doctor at Advocate Health Care who told me that my painful right Achille's had "Reached maximum medical improvement." And that doctor didn't prescribe physical therapy. At my first appointment with Dr. Ahmad, he told me the Achille's would get better. He gave me a boot and a brace with detailed instructions on using them. Dr. Ahmad prescribed physical therapy with excellent North Shore physical therapists who were also kind and professional. I had periodic appointments with Dr. Ahmad so he could check my progress. He was wise and helpful. He ordered orthotics for my shoes. They helped immensely. I religiously followed my physical therapy exercises and stretches. Today was my last appointment with him. I told him that I had a hard time believing him at first when he said I'll get better. But he was right. I did get better and am pain free. I'll still have to do stretching, but I'm pain free.

If I had to rate out of 10 I would give him a 10,000! That's right... A 10,000. You heard it here first, folks. This doctor is wonderful. My dad says "great bedside manner! And very knowledgeable! And kind!". I say "you're fantabulous and amazing!" I came here for a broken ankle.. 2 displaced fractures and one normal fracture.. Even one in my growth plate..! Had put 4 screws and a wire in (wire was pulled out a week later). Was fixed up great! Surgery went really well. No pain after.. No nothing! I can walk really good and do all that stuff. Dr. Ahmad was such a professional, calming, reassuring and compassionate doctor. I have a lot of confidence in his evaluation and treatment. In today's busy schedules I found Dr. Ahmad to take time with my visit in explaining the diagnosis and prognosis and all the questions I asked.

Dr. Ahmad is extremely caring and never rushes. I’m always comfortable with him knowing he will spend as much time with me as I need. I had surgery and he did a fantastic job with my foot. If ever needed again he will be my doctor.

After reading the reviews for Dr. Ahmad I came to him for a second opinion on my tendonitis after the treatment prescribed by the first doctor was not working. Dr. Ahmad's treatment agreed with what I had on the internet. And it worked perfectly. The pain was gone after 2 days and the tendon was back in shape after a month. In addition the office visits were uplifting because he has a very warm personality and views treatment as a joint effort.

Dr Ahmad listened very well to my needs and concerns and addressed them completely with his professional experience and personal concern. I had a full ankle joint replacement and sub-tailor fusion which was a fairly involved operation and the results exceeded my expectations. I plan on having him perform other procedures for additional issues with both of my feet.

I have had a very good experience with Dr. Ahmad. I had a broken heel bone that needed surgery including screws and plates. I had never had an injury this serious, and I was nervous and had a lot of questions and concerns. He answered my questions and explained my treatment options, as well as medications prescribed. I am well along in healing and expect full use of my ankle and foot.

Would highly recommend.

To my surprise I had very little pain even though I had a complete rupture of the tendon. Dr. Amad's instructions to follow were well organized and clear. After 6 months I have returned to almost a complete recovery. By continuing my home exercises I will be back to all previous activities without restriction. I am 68 years old.

I broke my ankle a few months ago and saw Dr. Ahmad for surgery and follow-up care. My experience with him has been excellent, with both his medical care and bedside manner being outstanding. He does a great job patiently listening, answering questions, and providing options for follow up care/physical therapy, etc. While I hope to never again suffer such an injury, I would certainly see Dr. Ahmad in the case that I do and suggest him highly to others.

I would recommend and encourage anyone who needs an Orthopedic surgery to see Dr. Ahmad because he is the best of the best. In addition to his excellent medical expertise and kills, he is a fantastic communicator. He responds text or phone messges within minutes of the request regardless the time of the day. He also “translates” medical terms to “plain English “ when he talks to his patients and/or their caregivers.

Definitely don’t recommend. I’ve had 3 surgeries since Dr Ahmad told me that my ankle was “as good as it’s going to get” and there was “nothing more he could do.” He refused multiple times to send me for an MRI. I was told there’s “nothing is wrong with it” My new dr sent me immediately from his office to get an MRI which determined that my tendons that Dr Ahmad had repaired were completely adhered to the bone. I’ve now had 3/4 of a tendon removed because they were so damaged and shredded.

I had considerable pain in my left foot. I had Xrays twice that showed nothing mainly because of the swelling. Dr. Ahmad said my symptoms were not consistent with the Xrays and ordered an MRI which indicated that I had a stress fracture. My Visits have been a pleasure. He is thorough and very compassionate.

Dr. Ahmad was very clear and concise regarding my injuries and what was to follow. He always explained everything and took the time during my appointments and was never rushing to get out. Even afterwards he would always say let me know if you need anything and to never hesitate to contact him or his staff regarding any issues I was having.

Dr. Ahmad diagnosed and treated my "Maisonneuve fracture" about 8 months ago. He predicted a 9-month recovery based on the injury and my age. I was confident in his recommendation for a surgical repair, and felt confirmed in this when I woke up the second morning after surgery essentially pain-free. Although the recovery has been slow, it has been successful; I'm about 98% back to normal and expect to regain the last 2% in the near future. I'm a dentist and appreciated his skillful treatment.

I am very happy with the result of Dr. Ahmad's hammertoe surgery. I have lived with this painful condition for over 45 years. I wish I knew about this before but better late than never. I have gone on two 3 mile walks since the surgery and unbelievable I have no pain as I would have before the surgery. Thank you, Dr. Ahmad. You have taken away a pestering pain that I will not miss. Also, I am surprised to hear of so many others with this condition. I will be sure to pass them your way. Thanks.

Dr. Ahmad is a excellent Doctor. He takes the time to explain everything to you very thoroughly and spends as much time as needed to make sure all of your questions are answered. He is rarely running behind too which is great.

Dr. Ahmad repaired my ruptured achilles tendon. Surgery was successful and he and his team were excellent in terms of communication and letting me know what to expect and how to manage my recovery. I have been very pleased with the care received.

Dr. Ahmad was very thorough and clearly explained all of the treatment options available to me. He was patient and open to all of my questions, and ultimately left the decision of treatment course up to me. My surgery went well without any complications and Dr. Ahmad as well as his surgical nurse, Dajana, were extremely responsive to any concerns and questions I had. My follow-up appointments were never rushed, and I felt completed supported and confident about my care.

Exceptional doctor! Dr. Ahmad is not only a very skilled medical diagnostician and surgeon. He operates with artistry. The very bad condition of my right foot, after numerous surgeries done elsewhere, was finally solved successfully by Dr. Ahmad. He performed on my foot a very complicated reparatory surgery with a successful outcome. The post-surgery care and procedures are very helpful for the recovery. I will finally be able to walk without pains! I recommend Dr. Ahmad with whole confidence

After a different physician at a different hospital botched my broken ankle, leaving me with a destroyed joint, I turned to Dr. Ahmad. He is perhaps the most caring, thorough and technically competent doctor that I have ever encountered. I am 71 years-old so I have encountered many. He had to completely fuse my ankle joint with screws and a rod. Before the surgery he answered all of my questions I came through the surgery with virtually no pain. He is a great doctor and a great person.

Dr. Ahmad and his Orthopedic team are superior in terms of quality of patient care. He expertly repaired my ruptured Achilles tendon in the OR, made himself available by phone in the first 24-48 hours after surgery, and he and his team have managed my recovery with sensitivity, honesty and clear instruction. Consequently, I'm well on the road to complete recovery. His team provide a standard of care that all healthcare providers should aspire to. Highly recommended.

Dr Ahmad was very professional and talk to me on a patient level! He didn't use a lot of medical jargon and walked me through every procedural option. He then explained in detail what he was doing before he did! Finally he informed but of things I should expect. I would recommend him to any of my family members or friends!

Dr. Ahmad: the most considerate, kind hearted & open minded surgeon I have ever met! I never had to wait past my appointment time & had thorough consultations. He offered options that fit my personality type, listened to my concerns & suggested a game plan from there. He's fair & never pushed surgery-even when all other options were exhausted, I decided for myself. He was available via his personal cell & messaging via Northshore connect. Who does that anymore? He does. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Ahmad was very thorough, professional and easy to talk to. He answered questions completely and made sure i understood all possibilities. Office visits took the time required. i did not feel rushed. Fractured foot surgery was a great success. The surgical team were also very professional and friendly. They took very good care of me and made me feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Ahmad and his staff if you want to get back on your feet with confidence.

Very informative about all the pros and cons of my proposed surgery. Told me exactly what the plan was. Personable, very available and open to questions before and after surgery. Never had the feeling he was in a hurry.

Dr. Ahmad took time to listen to my issues and he treated with kindness and professionalism. He treated me and was as happy as I was when my treatment was successful and I did not need another appointment. He is a very caring doctor and has a wonderful manner of dealing with his patients. His staff likes him very much.

He really listens to you and gives you his time. He is also diplomatic with difficult patients.

Dr. Ahmad is terrific. From day one he told me what to expect and what his recommendations were. At the end of each visit he asked me several times if I had any questions. Although my injury was no fun, I feel I got excellent care from Dr. Ahmad.

Very poor experience. I went in for ankle pain and Dr. Ahmad after looking at my x-ray told me I had arthritis and that I needed to wear a brace and if it wasn't better in a few weeks that surgery was the only option. After several weeks it hurt more so I went to another doctor, who correctly diagnosed it as peroneal tendonitis. The other doctor said they couldn't understand how Dr. Ahmad arrived at his diagnosis and said putting me in the brace made it worse. Thankfully I'm in pt and gettin

I had a very pleasing experience with Dr. Ahmad. He asked thoughtful questions and gave me insight into what was causing my pain. Under Dr. Ahmad's care my pain was alleviated. I feel better prepared to remain pain-free by following his advice and employing the exercises I was given. I thank my son-in-law for suggesting I should see Dr. Ahmad. Dr.Ahmad is skilled surgeon and great communicator. He delivers compassionate care with excellence. I saw Dr. Ahmad periodically over a period of four months after a severely fractured ankle followed by surgery and recovery and was never disappointed with the care he provided.

To start with Dr. Ahmad is extremely calming. You could be on fire and he would tell you in a calming tone to stop, drop and roll. That really does help when you crawl into his office with broken bones in your foot thinking you will never walk again. He told me everything was going to be fine and we'll get you back in good shape. And he was a man of his word. Extremely intelligent and articulate, but not in a over powering doctor kind of way. If I break anything else, he is my guy! Thank you

Dr. Ahmad performed surgery on my right ankle a few years ago, ankle arthroscopy. He did an amazing job, now I am pain free, without the limp that I had before, and I'm doing much better than I ever dreamt possible. Dr. Ahmad cares very much about his patients and he is a wonderful surgeon and person. When I have my left ankle operated on, I will go back to him and I know that he is the best surgeon, the one who I trust, a top notch surgeon and truly cares about me. Dr. Ahmad is the best!

I would not consider any other Orthopedic Surgeon other than Dr. Ahmad. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad and his staff for any ankle or foot surgery. Dr. Ahmad explained my surgery and recovery time in detail. I never felt that I was being rushed in and out for my office visits. His staff is very friendly to deal with and I never had an issue. I had reconstructive ankle surgery on September 24, 2015. I started PT on December 22nd and today I am walking without a boot and I have no re-striction
