I have went to Dr. Mendenhall three different times for tooth inserts. Dr. Mendenhall and his entire staff are top notch and show that they truly care about their patients. After each tooth extraction and then later the placement of the inserts I felt no pain during or afterwards. No issues with healing or infection. I highly recommend Dr. Mendenhall.

My orthodontist recommended a doctor for oral surgery, and I went for a consultation. However, my mother used Dr. Mendenhall and so I wanted to use him if I was going to consider oral surgery. I called to receive a second opinion and consultation from this doctor. I called my orthodontist and informed them of my decision for a second opinion with the doctor I was interested in. I called Dr. Mendenhall's office and spoke with a sweet lady on the phone who gave me a date for an appointment, in which I wanted to verify with my husband and said I would call back shortly. When I called back, another woman answered the phone and when I tried to accept that appointment she told me she was unable to book any appointment for me unless I tried a TMJ tray first for 6 weeks. I told this woman I had already spoken with someone. She asked me to hold on and then when she came back on, told me that she confirmed that information and I would be required to use the TMJ tray for 6 weeks before making my appointment. Mind you, I'm being seen for orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery), not TMJ. This woman did not ask my name, nor what my appointment was for. I do not have TMJ. I was blown away at this, and she asked me to hold on once more, and someone else came to the phone. I raised my concerns and she apologized and let me schedule my oral surgery consultation, finally! I go to the consultation. I meet with Dr. Mendenhall. He asked me to open my mouth and then told me what he would do for me. I informed him that the information he was describing was not what was given to me previously. He told me that he had not yet reviewed my photos, and was also given a letter from my orthodontist that he read right before entering my room. My orthodontist took the time to write this letter to Dr. Mendenhall and asked him to reach out to my orthodontist prior to my consultation. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. He told me he had not reached out to them. He was not informed about my case, issues, or concerns before I went to see him. Now I am being billed for a second opinion I DID NOT ACTUALLY GET. I've waited months to try to get them to agree to the insurance portion as I had given them my frustrations with my service. My insurance paid them a portion already, and I am just overly upset about how I was taken care of in the first place. The said they would not back off the price, even after speaking to Dr. Mendenhall. If I could give 0 stars, I SO WOULD! Dr Mendenhall is your typical arrogant, I am the best surgeon on the planet attitude.Red flag #1 Surgery time stated at "its a standard hour an a half long procedure, but I book for 4 hours. Red flag#2 When asked about complications, he immediately got offended and pompous, stating that was impossible and he refuses to sell unnecessary or unwanted surgery. He's been doing this for 30 years and has never and any complications or complaints. Red flag#3 Then he started deferring all questions and statements to the minor child, saying the mother's concerns and questions were irrelevant. Refused to talk about the possibility of side effects refuse to talk about the possibility of possible side effects complications long-term effects the possibility of jaw relapse the possibility of headaches the possibility of more surgeries. If you can't make a worried mother feel ok and secure how can you be good surgeon. You're not God, get off the"I'm a GOD complex.

Dr. Mendenhall is an incredible surgeon! His staff is equally as great and friendly too! I had my wisdom teeth removed and it was such an easy experience with them.

Best oral surgeon and staff in the state! He’s done implants, root canals, and pulled teeth, and has NEVER hurt me. He and his staff are kind and friendly and really seem to care about their patients. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!

Dr. Mendenhall did a wonderful job removing my wisdom teeth and I would highly recommend him to anyone! I was in no pain and back at work the next day. Didn’t even take any prescription pain medication! Great job and great Dr.
