I was referred to this doctor by my pcp. I’ve endured waiting 4+ hrs at each appointment just to receive a 5 min treatment regardless of how early I book the appointment. Word of advice, come to this office only if this is the last doctor on the face of the earth. Otherwise save yourself time and energy. The staff is rude and doesn’t care about any patient. I hate writing reviews but if this can help someone avoid wasting half their day then so be it.

Before scheduling my appointment, they confirmed that my insurance was accepted. I scheduled on a Monday, waited for hours so I rescheduled. Only to come back, wait for a while to be told my insurance is not accepted.

An amazing neurologist. It is worth the wait.

It is shameful that there are doctors who still book unrealistic schedules and let their patients sit in a waiting room for hours on end.

Staff in office is very very rude, especially one at the front desk(wont mention your name but you know who you are) at the front desk. , My daughter had a 4pm appointment after having a seizure and finally saw the Dr at 920 pm. 4 pm was MRI and then 5 pm EEG, (Daniel the EEG tech by the way is phenomenal, he's the most pleasant professional person that makes you feel very comfortable) while waiting for the MRI, I asked if I should check in for Dr Haimovic and I was told NO, She didn't even have the courtesy to look you in the eyes when speaking to you, she said he was moving quickly this evening. After finishing with EEG we went over to Dr Haimovic's side at 645pm and was told we should have checked in earlier because the wait was going to be very long now. We didn't get to see the Dr until 9:20 pm They put us in a room and we waited over an hour and half in the room, We were put in the room before another patient basically to shut us up, the other patient who was taken after us was out before us so obviously the Dr saw that patient first. The medical assistant, ( again won't mention your name but you know who you are as well) did not even say Hello, again VERY rude. When I asked her her name she told me and said "I saw you last week" so she obviously knew we have been coming often because of my daughters seizures. When you work in a patient care setting you have to be nice, patients come there because they are sick the last thing they need is rude and unfriendly staff. Think if it were you or your family member, think about how YOU would like to be treated!!! I work in the medical field and would never ever speak to my patients in this manner. After all that time waiting we got to see the dr for about 8 minutes to be exact, asking him questions with one foot out the door. NOT a pleasant experience especially dealing with my daughter having seizures. This man is an expert in his field. Yes, you have to wait to see Dr. Haimovic and in turn he will give you his undivided attention when he sees you.

I had a 6:45am appt. I’ve been waiting an hour and a half and haven’t been called back. The receptionist told me he always runs extremely late and that this is normal. There are 5 other patients in the waiting room with appointments for 6:45 and 7:00. It’s now 8:30. This is completely unacceptable and inconsiderate of the office. Dr Haimovic is one of the greats. He took his time to address each and everyone of my questions and concerns. Would highly recommend!

Sitting in my car waiting for my 2pm appointment, it is now 6:45pm! He might be an important Dr., but my time is important also. Plus last time he ran this late, I definitely felt rushed by the time it was my turn

I just want to thank Dr.Itzhak Haimovic for his proffesionalism and how hard he worked to find out what was wrong with me. He went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. One of the best experiences I ever had with a doctor.

Ridiculous wait times! Waited 4 hours and left without test results.

I’m in his office right now that I’m writing this review. I have been waiting 2 hours 15 min to be seen by the doctor. I’m sure my visit won’t take more than 10 min. Not fair at all. I understand doctors get backed up sometimes for maybe 20-30 min but more than 2 hours is ridiculous . Great doctor, but the wait times are unacceptable. I am in the office now, it is 12:41pm. My appointment was for 11am. There is no regard for a patients time. I anticipate to be waiting another hour or so. I need to use an entire sick day for a 10 minute appointment. They need to fix this asap or will lose another patient. My 95 year old mother had to wait 15 minutes just to check in. Then they kept her waiting several HOURS to be seen. The staff is rude and disrespectful.

You will have to wait long for him but plan on it and you will see one of the best Neurologists in the world.

Took my father to this dr. He literally makes patients sit for 5-6 hrs before seeing patients. Horrible office management.

HORRIABLE THEY HAVE YOU ON HOLD FOREVER

I have been seeing Doctor Haimovic for about seven years and can tell you without a doubt that his level of dedication to best practice is unparalleled by any other person in his field. He is kind and wise. His PA that works with him is young and bright as well! They make for an incredible treatment team that I wouldn't trade for anything or anyone.

Long wait time I waited 6 -7 hours before I see him I had 2:30 pm appt time taken in by nurse at 7:15 pm and seen by dr at 8:15 pm + very very long hours and in unbearable pain I was in Dr is good. But always long waiting. Staff not organized

Excellent!!!! There are not enough words to explain the expertise of this Dr.. for those complaining about waiting 1.. I see your comments were posted when Covid first hit... 2.. he has a text message service where they text you 15 minutes prior to your appointment... 3.. being properly diagnosed by a Dr top in his field especially where the spine is concerned priceless... I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and proud to say my visits were 10 years apart.. he treats the problem instead of masking the pain and mri and all other testing is done on site.. would highly recommend!!!

I arrived to my first appointment, filled out paperwork, and then was told that the wait was 3 hours. I said "who am I seeing, Elvis?". I told them I wasn't doing that, and if they had any "on time" doctors available. I came back the next day, saw a perfectly acceptable doctor, and only waited 10 minutes.

At this point I have been waiting 2.5 hours w my 92 year old father. I would leave but taking time from work and getting my father to appts is so difficult. In addition, there was a 7 “ snowstorm six days ago. The sidewalk and walkway outside has not been cleared. Obviously, dr heimovic is not in this business out of concern for his patients. Disgraceful!

Dr Haimovic is great! He gets 5 STARS! The practice however is another story, the staff is very condescending, disrespectful and just plain rude. The wait time in the actual office it's ridiculous and it's almost impossible to get them on the phone prior to that even to make the appoint. Money hungry like there is no tomorrow or a pandemic for that matter which has presented some financial challenges for some people. I honestly wish we did not have to go back there and deal with their unpleasantness and inconsideration ever again!!!

I would give Dr. Haimovic my highest recommendation. He is intelligent, experienced, kind and compassionate. You will get an appointment if you need one, even late at night, and get straight answers. He will ALWAYS return your calls, and if you need a test, you can get it right in the office, as well as get your results right away , so you don’t have to anxiously wait. In a climate where excellent medical care is so rare, Dr. Haimovic is a gem.

Good doctor but Can never get through to the office. Literally wait times on phone of 45 minutes and office just seems stressed and overwhelmed. Wait times in office long too.

I found the staff to be cordial. They are dealing with a tough time right now w/COVID-19 so you can understand them feeling overwhelmed and worried about their own health and what they MAY bring home to their own family. I did wait quite some time, but what doctor doesn't have a long wait? I wish I knew one, but I don't. Dr. Haimovic was cordial each time I had to see him. He gave me an initial consultation, tests and decided I was in need of medication. I had an overall great experience, correct all on what medicine to take and good follow-up. I'm very happy.

I've been under Haimovic's care for over a year now. I've seen 35 doctors for this rare vision/headache issue, and I can say FROM EXPERIENCE, he is the best in the business. He cracked it and I'm now on a steady road to recovery. You'll wait a while if you want to seem him, but it is because he takes his time with patients. If you're not willing to wait (sometimes a few hours), see a different doctor. But know that you're missing out on a good one. Feels so damn good to finally have these miserable issues behind me

Dr Haimovic diagnosed me with a benign meningioma this spring. He was kind, gentle, easy to talk to, and extremely professional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!

I have been a patient of Dr Haimovic’s for over 25 years. He has managed my chronic condition and I’ve been stable for years because of his care. He has never ordered unnecessary procedures or appointments. Yes the wait is long. But I have known for years to call before I leave my house and get an idea of how long the wait is. I called this morning at 11:45 about my 12:15 appt. I was told he’s running 3 hours behind. I called back at 2:00 and they said I should arrive at 3:30. I’ll prob wait for 1/2 hour in office then. Dr Haimovic is worth the effort!

I have been a patient of Dr. Haimovic for several years. I was originally recommended to him by a top notch physician. I have been to specialists for specific medical needs throughout my life and many times, had mixed feelings seeing some. This time I needed a Neurologist. When I met Dr. Haimovic, I was taken back by his focus, thoroughness, experience, warmth and compassion. For my situation, I have had to continue to see him for treatment. He is Always First Class and I am truly thankful.

I've been a patient of Dr. Haimovic for around 3 years. I have a chronic jaw pain problem, which no dentist, oral surgeon, neurosurgeon, nor specialized test could find the root of. While no one can guarantee they could stop my pain, Dr. Haimovic was the only person to get it under control. I was taking 12-14 pills a day just to make it bearable so I could at least eat, brush my teeth, etc. I now take only 1 pill daily, and have hope to stop taking anything! Thank you for your care and support!

I cannot say enough about this doctor!! He has treated my whole family, and I have consistently seen him display patience, and compassion, along with expertise. I trusted him with my elderly mother, and he did not disappoint me. He will always make himself available for your questions and concerns. I wish that all doctors were like him. Dr. Haimovic has been my neurologist for several years. Each time appointment he takes the time to review my records and speak with me. Never does he rush the visit. His exams are thorough. I highly recommend anyone that needs a top quality neurologist to make a appointment.

Dr. Haimovic is the best. In a world of Doctors that work on volume; Dr. Haimovic brings me back to the days when doctors took time to get to know you and understand what’s going on. He took the time to review my test results over the weekend. And even spoke to me on Sunday to calm my nerves. You can tell he cares for patients and loves what he does. Highly recommended

Most compassionate, informed, amazing neurologist. Dr. Haimovic really listens and spends time with each patient. Although the wait might be longer than expected, he is truly worth the time. Would recommend to anyone looking for the best doctor ever.

Showed up for an appointment with the doctor and was told he was running an hour and a half late. When I asked why they had to bothered to call and inform me they said he generally runs 1 to 2 hours behind. I don’t know what kind of doctor thinks this is an acceptable way to practice. Find another doctor unless you wanna spend 2 to 4 hours waiting for standard appointment

Dr. Haimovic is an excellent and very thorough doctor. His report was a little confusing and his office is not very well run. I attempted to drop off paperwork before her first appointment and because she had not been seen before, she did not have a file. They basically just put her paperwork into his mailbox. The paperwork was not found until the end of the appointment. For all follow-ups you see the PA, not the doctor.

Simply the BEST! They don't make doctors like Dr. Haimovic anymore. He is the most KNOWLEDGEABLE , PATIENT and CARING doctor that I have ever met. I see that some people are upset with the wait times but he is 10000% worth the wait. People do not realize that the reason your waiting is because Dr. Haimovic is thorough and will never rush you. He makes sure that you are comfortable and answers all of your question. I am a very anxious person and Dr. Haimovic is extremely patient with me.

I have been a patient of Dr Haimovic for almost 5 years and have seen him with severe neck/head pain. Each time I have called for an immediate appointment I have always been accommodated and I am very appreciative of that. My experience has always been positive with his staff.Because he is such n excellent & dedicated, caring Neurologist and accommodating to his patients in need, there is a long wait. But, bottom line HE IS WORTH IT! This Dr. is amazing! Thank you Dr. Haimovic!

Dr haimovic is wonderful - attentive, patient, very kind, knowledgable - everything you would hope to find in a dr. His PA is wonderful as well for all of the same reasons. However the wait time is extremely long. The shortest amount of time i've had to wait is 1 1/2 hours, the longest was about 4+. The front desk staff isn't very friendly or efficient. They often forget patients and can be rude and unhelpful.

Dr. Haimovic is a well respected physician in the medical community. He has many years of experience in his field. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this doctor is because of his extremely long wait times. After multiple visits time spent in the waiting room ranged from an hour and a half to just under 3 hours when I walked out. Always call ahead to check on this doctors timeliness.

Even his assistant is underwhelming. Rude, rushed, and condescending. Enough said.

When you are one of Dr. Haimovic's patients, you might have to wait some time as he runs late for his appointments, but it is well worth it! You are treated, not as a number or statistic, but rather as a human being by a caring, compassionate and brilliant physician. His PA, Ms. Kasdan is also quite competent and a pleasure to deal with. I have complete trust in Dr. Haimovic and his staff.

I already have recommended Dr. Haimovic to many people. I had terrible migraines for years. I was recommended to him and now I receive injections to prevent migraines. I am a totally new person. I have been told he is the best neurologist on Long Island, and I agree. I have moved to New Jersey and I still travel to see this doctor. He is amazing.

First, I would never recommend this doctor to anyone! His practice is a complete meat market which triple book the day, in order to copay to collect. If you cancel less than 24 hrs they bill you. Obviously the Drs. time is much more precious than yours, waiting time is an average of 4 to 5 hrs at min. The staff is completely incompetent. I have gone in for my monthly procedure, waited 4 in a half hours and then turned me away. Their excuse was prior authorization which I already had.

Although Dr. Haimovic is a fantastic Neurologist, his eagerness to earn money over takes his patient's care. He double and triple books his patients, according to his staff and has no problem having you wait 3 to 4 hours to be seen!! I travel over an hour to see him, and then need to wait for hours to be seen. One office visit is like a full day at work. It's exhausting! On top of that, His office staff is rude, unfriendly, hostile, and they do not follow up with phone calls.

Dr. Haimovic is the best physician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is thorough, caring and above all knowledgable and professional. He provided me with a diagnosis and took the time to explain how his conclusions were reached. He gave me the reassurance I needed and explained the importance of enjoying life to the fullest no matter what obstacles come our way. Best of all, he cured my back pain and I can move around like I did 10 years ago! He is truly the best of the best.

A real professional. I read the very bad reviews about waiting times, but since he was so highly recommended by my excellent cardiologist, I bit the bullet and made an early appointment. He is extraordinary. He spent a lot of time with me, giving all kinds of hands-on tests, listening, asking questions, etc. His staff was excellent. I was able to schedule an MRI for the same day. He met with me that same day to review the results and discuss a treatment plan. IT DOESN'T GET BETTER.

Dr. Haimovic is a great doctor! Very throrough and does a great job explaining. He makes you feel very comfortable and gets to the point. As for his staff, they are very rude. They do not have any manners and are very difficult to deal with. Wish the experience would have been different.

I visited several doctors because of the pain in my neck. No one was able to diagnose my condition until I visited Dr.. Haimovic. He explained I had torticollis and began treating me immediately. I am finally seeing some positive results
