Dr Abraham is hands down one of the best doctors in NYC. His kindness, knowledge and patience are remarkable. I have seen him for various sports injuries over the years, and he has always taken the time to fully analyze my condition, offer treatments, and explain everything in detail. I’m a physician as well, and he has demonstrated excellence in his practice and his manner of working with his patients. I recommend him highly, and will seek his care for any future issues. Been with Dr. Abraham since 2013, has helped me tremendously with injuries I’ve sustained while in the military and from work. Great man!

Dr Abraham is clearly a compassionate doctor and truly dedicated his craft to becoming the best sports medicine doctor in his field. The exam yesterday was through as can be and he made sure all other issues aside from my joint instability weren’t also plaguing me in addition to my back. My only concern going forward is that I don’t think he sees my issues needed for ozone treatment for my instability. Something to discuss with him further but everything else was simply pleasurable. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned for your better wellbeing. Dr. visits often come with high anxiety. Not here, he and his staff made sure of that. I would highly recommend Dr. Abraham to family, friends, and anyone looking for the cream of the crop in medicine.

Dr Abraham is a wonderful doctor. He’s so knowledgeable, educated, pleasant and witty. When he speaks to you he explains things in a way that you understand exactly what he’s talking about, unlike other doctors that talk at you or use terminology that only another doctor would understand. I would and HAVE recommended him to other friends and relatives and they found his practice to be outstanding. He has helped so many people with his various forms of treatments. He also attends workshops several times a year to stay “on top” of newer medical findings and introduces them into his practice with much success. I look forward to my appointments. I arrive in pain and depart relieved and smiling again!! Testimonial for Irwin Abraham By Crazy Legs Conti My name is Crazy Legs Conti (actual legal name) but it was my arm that got me introduced to Irwin Abraham and Prolotherapy. I had been a New York City window cleaning for 17 years (now semi-retired) but still worked a few jobs. I did hang out window ledges via belt-hooks but most windows can be cleaned (inside and out) from the inside. Still, a window cleaner’s body is contorted like a circus performer sometimes and the soreness and pain is a constant reminder of how the human body is not suppose to bend. While lifting a window at the wonderful Luxembourg Consulate (the old Irving Berlin residence) I heard a pop in my right elbow. It was unlike anything that had ever happened to my body. I was a three varsity athlete at a division three college and my primary sport (basketball) was almost ended my sophomore year as a guy rolled into my knee. The sports doctors at the time all lauded the improvements in knee/meniscus/ACL surgery and immediately recommended that for me. I’ve never been doctor wary, but I am surgery wary. I refused and decided to lose my varsity spot and rehab the old-fashion way - time, effort, care, and concern. I never played varsity ball again, but went on to participate in the high jump in track and as a back-up punter on the football team. I am glad I didn’t opt for surgery despite the advancements at the time. I know Micheal Abraham (Dr. Irwin’s son) and he recommended his father’s treatment using Prolotherapy, which I had not heard of but investigated. Most of the pertinent information came from Dr. Irwin himself, who was not shocked by the story of my basketball injury and those doctors who relied on surgery as a first and immediate treatment, not a last resort. Dr. Irwin’s demeanor was firm but kind, wise but not pretentious. He understood athletic injury and also work injury. He understood my problem and had a solution. I had one injection and waited several weeks to confirm that the dextrose injected into my elbow was aiding rapid healing. It was. I still clean windows. I do the occasional push-up. My arm is healed and I am grateful to Dr. Irwin Abraham and Prolotherapy for existing. It may not be the most common treatment but certainly effective (and avoids surgery.) I was in debilitating pain with a diagnosis of chronic SI Joint Dysfunction, and was told it was unlikely to heal. I then saw Dr. Abraham who injected me a few rounds of Prolotherapy. Today I am completely better and grateful for this fantastic doctor. He will give you an honest assessment and is careful and knowledgeable. As for the Phenol comment, a google search shows that 1% phenol is a standard part of dextrose solutions in Prolotherapy studies, a far cry from being injected with Phenol.
