About Dr. Hussein Kalahy Osman-Mohamed
Reviews for Dr. Hussein Kalahy Osman-Mohamed
Dr. Mohamed saved my daughter's life after TGH turned her down for a liver transplant THREE times. We absolutely love him. He cares and continues to watch over her now as she is facing a kidney transplant. We love his humor and his fantastic smile (behind his mask) when he walks in the room. Sometimes with a hug for her. I have the upmost respect for him and trust him with my daughter's life. She is a young single mom with three boys. Dr. M changed our lives is the most beautiful way. We will always be grateful to have him in our lives to care for her. We always say if we ever move out of Florida that we are taking him with us. We love this man for what he has done for my family in giving her a new liver as we almost lost her. I fought from Miami to Richmond, VA to get her a liver and so happy I took her to Largo Medical for Dr. M to meet her. Dr. Mohamed is the best and I fully recommend him 100%. He runs a tight ship and his whole team is great, including the LMC TICU team.
My opinion of Dr. Mohammed went downhill after my mothers liver transplant. I don’t think he took into account much other than rushing to get a liver and her she had a lot of other complications and I think he was overwhelmed and gave up. I hope he realizes that the last memory that my mother had of him as she left this Earth was that she was afraid of him. My confidence in his ICU at Largo medical was equally upsetting. She was Belittled when she didn’t move her Bowels by her nurse Keko. When she asked her to go to the restroom the nurse replied you didn’t do it when I wanted you to so you just deal with it and will clean it up. The final insult was being discharged with pneumonia and a feeding tube still in and of course there was always the threat of aspirating. She was in the ICU for five weeks. Less than 20hours later aspirated and had a heart attack in the rehab we asked him not to send her to. Stay clear of this group and him. He fails to think outside the box
Humility and respect for human life are supposed to be part of the Hippocratic oath... Lack of caring caused my wife's death. Please check other transplant hospitals and doctors.
Our visit with Dr Mahamed was very informative and we found him delightful; respectful, kind and a great sense of humor. We have complete confidence in the upcoming surgery. His staff was efficient, very pleasant and went out of their way to accommodate us.
Dr. Mohamed is a great surgeon. Excellent skills and has a wonderful personality. Always positive and polite. Expects excellence from all team members. His entire team is A plus!! Unique and extremely talented.
Dr. Mohammad and staff treated me like family and are finally getting me the help I need. I would recommend them to anyone
My mother died due to complications following surgery recommended Mohamed. She did not have cancer or a life threatening condition prior to the surgery,
He is experienced and compassionate
Make sure to get an expert opinion following any given by Dr. Mohamed. It could mean the difference between life and medical experimentation for the sake of teaching inexperienced residents.
Terrible follow up or consultation with outside specialist, especially pulmonary and infectious disease.
Very dispassionate physician. Please do your research and get a second opinion. It may mean the difference between your loved one's life and death. Humility and respect for human life are supposed to be part of the Hippocratic oath...First do no harm. This was the advice I gave my mother before her ill-fated decision to trust Dr. Mohamed and have the surgery he recommended to determine if she had cancer. She did not have a cancer, but the surgery killed her.
Please get a second opinion if Dr. Mohamed recommends surgery. It could save your or your lives o e’s life.
Dr. Mohamed failed to give a clear explanation of the seriousness or probability of complications from surgery, most importantly the risk of death, especially when the patient did not have a life threatening condition.
After recommending pancreatic surgery without a biopsy against his assistant's recommendation for biopsy, my sister-in-law died after two more surgeries to stop a leak. My sister-in-law died and she would still be alive if a biopsy had been performed as she did not have pancreatic cancer.
My mother had major surgery April 2. A whipple to rule out pancreatic cancer. The biopsy was negative. She had to return to surgery two more times for complications. My mother lost her battle and passed away may 23. She was septic. Why was not a biopsy recommended first? My mother would still be with us today if we would of not done this surgery.
He did a surgery on my Mom without proper diagnosis, He had to go in a day later to fix a leak and then a week later to repair damage from leak. Her drainage looked terrible and she turned septic, I loss my Mom.

With mild to extremely uncomfortable daily groin pain he understands the urgency of getting my liver transplant.
He was very personable and knowledgeable about what I needed
DR. Mohamed saved my wive's life. He has by far the absolute best team. Dr. Mohamed and Dr. Karen completely put us at ease. As our world was crumbling in it was this team that brought my wife back home to her children. This team will always hold a special place in our hearts. I cant thank them enough. -Jeremiah Lavine
Dr. Mohamed took my case without hesitation. Very confident doctor. After the first 30 seconds talking you know he knows what he is dealing with. You feel confident and in good hands. He took care of all my physical and emotional concerns.
I would recommend Dr. Osman Muhamed highly. He is the best. Always up front and comfortable to be with. He never let me down

I had to travel from New Port Richey to Largo for a Hepatobiliary Surgeon. It was well worth the travel time. Dr. Mohamed is not just an excellent surgeon, he is a very sweet caring physician. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Mohamed provided 5 star care to my mother for 5 years, his bedside manner is like none I have ever seen and I work with doctors for a living. Him and his staff mean the world to our family!
