My daughter who is now 23 has been a patient at Hershey Pediatric Heart Group and doctor Weber since she was about 1 months old ! From the initial appointment there was talk of open heart surgery! But they had to wait till she turned one year old in order to survive the surgery! At age one during preOp testing it was discovered her condition was worse then initially diagnosed, so the decision was made to wait until she turned 5 for a better chance of survival and recovery! At age 5 there had been so many advances in medicine, and with her condition extremely stable dr Weber suggested we wait and monitor her ! We waited till she was eighteen and medicine had really advanced, and there was new safe and non surgical procedures. So that’s what we decided on ! A non surgical catheterization procedure ! Thanks to Dr Weber we did not go forward with the extremely risky invasive open heart surgery, and waited for a safe non evasive repair. Since her procedure at age eighteen and a few follow up visits shortly after, she now only has an every five year check and is doing great! Dr. Weber is hands down the BEST Pediatric Cardiologist out there. He has been taking care of my son since he was 3 months old and he is now 26!
