Great doctor!

Dr. Silk is amazing. My family has been seeing him for 30 years. My son is a third generation patient!

All the staff were very friendly. Dr. Silk was very friendly, attentive to my concerns.

My son has been going to this practice and seeing Dr. Silk for 15 years now. Dr. Silk has always been very thorough and authentic in how he cares and support the needs of my son. He listens and have worked in concert with me to ensure my son remains in the best of health.

1. Asked questions just to cut me off as I attempted to answer. 2. Made assumptions without hearing anything about my little one's actual experiences. 3. Made a point to exaggerate the severity of my little one's condition to prescribe a certain drug. 4. The more questions I asked (politely) the more anxious and visibly bothered he became. 5. He picked 12 allergens to test my child for without marking them, I had to stop him and make him tell me what he actually tested for. He rattled off 12 random allergens then said those were "the most common" when asked "why those." 6. Didn't test food allergens AT ALL even after I expressed that my concern was dairy and some particular foods. Terrible experience. I absolutely love Dr Silk. He is great with my little one, very knowledgable and just listens to you. He allows you to speak and lets you finish before making his recommendations. A very basic communication skill but not very popular unfortunately.

Great experience overall. I found Dr. Silk to be personable, with a great sense of humor. The only experience I found less than great was office staff pointing to patients and referring to them as "that one." I guess not much has changed in 10 years. Rudeness seems to be a common thread. There are Effective Communication classes available. Maybe he should try one.

The doctor was helpful. Somehow the focus of the visit changed to the doctor trying to convince me to get vaccinated for COVID. I immediately felt uncomfortable and that is not why we were there. Based on other reviews this appears to be a repeated approach. Boundaries and choices are important and should be respected. He took my son’s phone out of his hand, which was inappropriate. This was our first time at Atlanta Allergy and Asthma in Fayetteville, GA. The office was clean and very spacious. The office staff was friendly and very helpful. Dr. Silk, seemed very knowledgeable. However, he has the personality of a fish. He is very monotoned and does not give the persona of really caring. He is very robotic. Yes, I want knowledgeable AND personable. I have been going for about 2-3 years now and he seems okay to me. He is very knowledgeable and listens. I have not had a bad experience and the whole staff is friendly.

Dr. Silk is very pleasant and he takes the time to listen to your concerns. We always have a good conversation about any issues that may be happening at the time and I appreciate that. I leave my appointment feeling confident that I've received the best care and advice for my allergies going forward.

It's been almost 10 years since I went to Dr. Silk, and I still think about how he's the worst doctor I have ever had. He is extremely rude and inconsiderate. He would have you waiting for 30 minutes to an hour, and then come in and make a rude comment if you were on your phone, reading a book, etc. One time he literally took the book out of my hand without me even getting the chance to mark my page. He also told me to get rid of my cat that I had already had for years after learning I had an allergy to cats. It was very unrealistic to expect that of me and frankly rude. I have never experienced a ruder doctor and would definitely not suggest. Find another allergist. If you want to feel as if your child's doctor cares about their well-being, don't go to Dr. Silk. I'd give zero stars if I could. Dr. Silk is the rudest doctor I have ever met. He is arrogant and condescending. I would never recommend him to anyone. I thought I could tolerate his bad attitude for the sake of my daughter's health but I can't. I went to Dr. Silk for years and found him very knowledgeable and personable. However over the last couple of years he seemed more and more grumpy at each visit. The last visit he was downright argumentative and rude. He snapped my head off for reducing the dosage of my meds even though he told me to. He just didn't write it down. I won't be going back. He was a very good doctor but I really don't need the attitude. I went to Dr. Silk for years and found him very knowledgeable and personable. DrSilk is a great allergist He is wonderful with my children. I went tosee him for a chronic cough that he diagnosed the cause a chronic sinus infection and cured me in 2 weeks ! His office staff is great as well

Every time I take my daughter to this office whether it’s for shots or an office visit, I leave angry. Dr Silk is rude, arrogant, and condescending. We are looking for a new allergist to treat my daughter’s asthma and allergies. The staff is ok but I have had some unpleasant experiences with them as well.

Have been a patient for years. Great Doctor

I found Dr. Silk very knowledgeable, had a great bed side manor. He took his time with me and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The staff was polite. I found Dr. Silk very friendly.

Seeing Dr Silk was a complete waste of time. He didn't seem up to date with current research and was too arrogant and condescending. I went to see him to confirm some food sensitivities I had which he dismissed as not a big deal. If he was up to date on microbiome research he would know that it is, although it's not life threatening as some allergies can be. I took his advice and ignored my sensitivities and wound up sicker than I was before omitting several foods for a few years.

Another allergy doctor wanted to be very aggressive in treating my daughter, Isaw Dr Silk for a second opinion He spent more time with me on my first visit than the other doc did in 3 Reviewed her records and gave us a great treatment plan that has worked great Can't say enough about Dr Silk
