Howard Lederman

Top Notch. If your child has immune system problems or if every other doctor has given up Dr. Lederman is your doc. He and his team treated our daughter. In addition he and his team treat us, the parents, cope and navigate a diagnosis for our daughter. Ultimately, our daughter did not survive her immune deficiency and impact from a polio vaccine. Now 30+ years later we are still grateful and thankful for Dr. Lederman’s, his team and John Hopkins Children Center nurses and staff.

Horrible bedside manner! Assumed he knew the issues going on with our son prior to speaking with me. Very arrogant and treated me as if I were ignorant. He spoke over me and brushed off information about our son. You could tell he didn’t want to be at the appointment. Our son became upset during the appointment (he’s four) and Dr. Lederman said he didn’t know why we were here or how we even got to this point because obviously our son didn’t have any issues and he considers the matter closed. This was after three doctors recommended seeing Immunology. He rolled his eyes during the entire appointment and kept sighing loudly as if we were boring him. He made me very uncomfortable and upset. I would not recommend him to anyone ever! Now we have to start the process over with finding a new doctor. He seemed like a very unhappy individual and it radiated into his appointment with us.

Dr. Lederman is incredible. Every time I see him he is able to diagnose what none of the other doctors that I see can. He explains everything to me in an extremely professional and respectful manner. I consider him one of the best!

Dr. Lederman does not listen, he assumes he knows your issue no matter what you tell him, and he was wrong. I would never recommend him.

Dr. Lederman is very kind and caring. He listened to all of my concerns and made sure I understood the answers to all of the questions I had. I was very impressed with his knowledge and level of compassion. I appreciated his expertise and highly recommend him.

Dr Lederman is as knowledable as it comes when treating patients with immune deficiency. Any precieved bedside manner problems are due to the amount of patients he needs to give care to on a daily basis. I have been a patient of his for 15 years. He and his team have always gone above and beyond when I needed them most.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Lederman, because he is poor bedside manner and has an arrogant and assuming way when he talks to you. He had me extremely upset, and I am looking for someone else.

Great doctor for my son. When he was on vacation I mentioned to receptionist I had questions for him and then I got called back to set up a phone conference with him. Another time I called in for an apt. but my husband had bad phone reception and I couldn't hear conversation. Dr. Lederman set up a phone conference for Sunday and patiently went over everything again and answered all my questions. When my son had rash I was given next day apt at 7:30am and have 24hr phone # for any Qs/concerns

I had a very poor experience with Dr. Lederman. He treats immune deficiencies and I had gone to him because I had been diagnosed with an immune deficiency. He told me to just do some neti pots (which I already do) and I should be fine. This is unacceptable as someone who claims to treat people with the very conditions I was presenting! I also did not feel like he was listening to me or understanding the gravity of my situation.
