Dr. Hector J Cases

I’ve been in severe pain for days bc staff can’t do their jobs right. I like Dr. Cases except now in agony and no way of anyone getting a hold of him while I sit here suffering and 911 won’t do anything. EIGHT CALLS OVER PAST 3 DAYS. NO MEDS. IM SWEPT UNDER THE TUG YET AGAIN. I AM SUFFERING!!!!!

Dr. Cases was recommended by a good friend. He is probably a very good pain management doctor however the following makes his practice unacceptable: one hour wait in waiting room; one and one half wait in exam room after blood pressure test; not one visit from an assistant advising the reason for excessive delay; I left the office never to return.

I would give zero stars. He is the worst Doctor that I’ve ever seen. He has been with many different companies.

Dr Cases is nice. The main problem is that the wait time is outrageous! He is always running at least 1 hour behind schedule. Last time I was there, I waited 3 hours to be seen by him. No regard for patients’ time. The front office staff (MAs, no nurses on staff) lack competence & can be rude or stand-offish. Very disappointed at the lack of customer service & response to patients’ concerns. The call center staff do not understand English. I have asked twice for a call back from the office staff due to a medical concern & still no call back 1 week later. Incompetent staff all around from the billing dept to appointment schedulers to office staff. Also, Dr Cases is always running at least 1 hour behind in appointments. He’s amazing

While Dr Cases is great, the office staff - more specifically the people in the call center leave a lot to be desired. I have been calling for 3 weeks to schedule a phone follow up. Each time, I’m told a message has been sent but I hear nothing. Whenever you call, what should be a simple call takes 20 mins or more because you’re asked to repeat things over and over and over. I’m all for everyone working but maybe this is isn’t the best environment for those who not have English as their first language. Today, I’m going to file a formal complaint with my insurance company and I will also request my records and seek a new provider. I stopped into see if Dr Cases took my insurance and was assured they did. The you g man at the call center doing my intake kept asking me to repeat my information three times four times for EACH question. What should have been a 15 minute conversation took nearly FORTY minutes. He finally finished, I got a referral and waited THREE weeks for my appointment. I had stopped in another time to make sure they had all the information they needed. This morning, I arrived for my long awaited appointment only to find out that they do NOT take my insurance and they wanted $250 to see the doctor ! I don’t know how good Dr Cases is or isn’t. Dr. Cases is very thorough and compassionate. He always takes His time to listen and takes time to answer my questions. His Office Staff and Operating Staff are very friendly. I am so Glad I found Him and His working Family.

Staff unprofessional and rude. Office Manager looks scruffy, long waiting periods. Dr Cases is excellent, but his staff sucks.

Dr. Cases is a good doctor but his office is a disaster. I had a 9:30 procedure booking. I walked out at noon. They ask u to fill out the same paperwork every time. The office area is clean. I Will not go back .

A good doctor but the office seems poorly managed. Nurses have no identification name tags and wait times are horrendous, sometimes 90 minutes before admission, then another 90 minutes for procedure. Surely they can do better!

I've seen Dr. Cases for years, and it's time I acknowledge his skills and dedication to his patients. He LISTENS to us, and he's skillful in what he does. Always professional but caring also. Not what i expected. My experience here was not what I expected from a busy office and doctor. Since I opted out of surgery last year I was looking to find a local doc for help with the unrelenting back and leg numbness & constant pain. I started my treatments early this year. The wait on my first appointment took longer than I expected. However, once I had my vitals taken and was in the room with Dr. Cases I found him to be attentive, thorough and surprisingly patient with my many questions. His answers were thoughtful & straightforward walking me through the numerous options available. I’m older and over the years have been to many doctors who just seem to be going through the motions. Many docs were not particularly patient when I was asking questions. Many times talking with one hand on the door! Spending barely 10 minutes with me after a long wait then seemingly in a hurry to head out the door to see another patient. Not so with Dr. Cases! I’ve never felt my interactions with him were rushed. Never Any time spent waiting to seem him was, for me, a very small investment to make for the generous amount of time he took once in the room. Spending probably close to a half hour reviewing my medical records, asking me questions and patiently answering the many questions I had Because of his thoroughness on my initial appointment follow up appointments were much quicker. I also want to say something about the office staff- Michael the manager, Ashley (who is always so upbeat and pleasant),and the other folks who's names i don't recall were genuinely nice, helpful and accommodating. Dr. Hector Cases is an excellent physician in all the senses of the word. Dr. Cases keeps himself up to date on all medical matters that pertain to the health of his patients. Dr. Cases has never ever pushed any medications on me. I was referred to Dr. Cases by a very prominent Doctor from Tampa, a surgeon. I have had nothing but the best care from Dr. Cases. I will always recommend Dr. Cases. I am very outspoken about bad medical care if you read my other reviews. I look forward to seeing Dr. Cases once again. I am so reassured that I know that he will take away my pain.

Got overlooked. Were overbooked. 5 min with Dr took total of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Ridiculous!

Would NOT recommend. He looked at the pain meds I am on, and refused to even meet me - even though I made it CLEAR that my goal is to get off of pain meds!! Remember when Dr’s were compassionate? Thought Dr’s were supposed to help us. Don’t waste your time.

This is a very professional office. Dr. Cases really knows what he is doing. I felt safe in his care and the results are fantastic. Walked in with ordinal art level 7 and walked out with level 0.

Dr Cases determined that I needed immediate relief from a bulging disk. He precribed three drugs to stop the pain. Plus he scheduled another more permanent procedure for two weeks out.

Dr. Cases goes over a multitude of options. He explains why one option is better than the other, though he leaves the decision to the patient. Anyone that has discomfort with pain, I highly recommend Dr. Cases.

First time visiting Dr. Cases, excellent doctor, listens to your issues, asks many questions regarding it, does not rush you, asks if there are any other concerns that need to be discussed, honest about his plans for treatment, we value his opinion. My parents loved him and that's an A++ for me!

The office staff is very efficient and kind. The assistant's are so helpful and sweet. Dr. Cases is totally Awesome! He's considerate, sweet and knows what he's doing! I just can't say enough about him. Thankyou Dr.Cases!!! I've not ever trusted anyone with my back but I trust him.

Waiting 3 1/2 hours plus for an appointment is despicable

Dr Cases did my trial and permanent spinal cord stimulator 3/2020. I was so happy with my entire experience from the beginning. He was very attentive and listened to my pain issues from my first visit. He treated me as a person and not just a number. I felt he was truly concerned with helping me have the best outcome. He explained everything so well and during both the trial and permanent implant, his anesthesia professional ensured I was comfortable and virtually pain free. His office staff Julie, Michael and Jessica were so helpful with my calls for information, short term disability paperwork and appointments. I would highly recommend Dr Hector Cases if you are looking for a pain doctor who can provide non-narcotic solutions! I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with my results!

I’ve seen both Dr. Cases and Jimenez for the last several years. We’ve tried different options to manage my pain. They currently have me under medication as tens units, creams, and spinal cord stims did not work as well as we would of liked. The reason why I’m giving them a 3 is because of their recent policy changes on medications due to the new Florida laws. I understand they don’t want to be held liable for overdoses etc. But I have been on pain meds and psychiatric meds for over 6 years and by being responsible and taking them as prescribed I have yet to feel any complications. Yet they have felt the need to advise me that I would no longer be able to take both and would have to choose between my pain and psychiatric medications. Prior to his December 2018 move to Ruskin, Dr. Cases worked at the Brandon office of a different pain management group which had MANY issues with scheduling, staff training & work procedure consistency.
