Dr. Heather M Nisbeth

My father came to see dr nisbeth for years . I’m a nurse . She never told us that he had elevated tumor marks suggestive of cancer . she NEVER referred him to an oncologist or told him these cancerous tumor markers were elevated and it wasn’t caught until he was hospitalized and it progressed to stage four cancer with metastasis to his bone. If she had told us sooner he wouldn’t be diagnosed with stage four cancer and this all could of been prevented . She’s basically killing patients . I’d suggest going to a veteran over this idiot .

Nesbith RUDELY refused to refer my mother to a cardiologist for three years straight, and she wound up with congestive heart failure in the hospital!!! She LITERALLY told my 80 year old mother she did not need a cardiologist and would be "taking away precious time from the doctor that someone really needed it", despite an extensive family history of heart issues including her father who passed from his 5th heart attack at only 45. My mother felt nervous about switching doctors and wound up in the hospital with heart failure!!!! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and we will pursue this with the Dept. Of Public Health and the CT State Medical Board.

I see Dr.Nesbeth and am so pleased with her work. I am a healthy 36 year old woman who appreciates her attention to detail. She has my best interest in mind and is very attentive to my health. I've never had a doctors visit that resulted in her and I both sitting down discussing my health. I'm usually very rushed, but not in this case. Dr. Nisbeth has been my doctor for about 20 years. My elderly mother and daughter are also patients. She is a caring, thorough, knowledgeable physician.

Dr Nisbeth cares! She is very experienced in her field As many but also takes the time to talk to you !

Dr. Nisbeth possesses intelligence, compassion, skill,and patience. She is an excellent diagnostician and follows up appropriately with chronic conditions. She is conservative in ordering unnecessary tests but encourages the recommended preventive exams (colonoscopy, mammogram, etc.) During an examination, she explains what she is assessing and what she finds. She collaborates with the patient and respects their input in formulating a plan of care. She refers to specialists when necessary.

I had just had been released from the hospital due to two surgeries I had and was having diarrhea for a number of days. At time Dr. Nisbeth was my primary Dr. I called for an appointment and went in to find out why the diarrhea. Told DR. Nisbeth what was having and she told me to get some depends. After I saw a specialist I was given a antibiotic and I was told I had C-dip due to all the antibiotics I received from my surgeries.

I waited WAY too long for a simple physical. Waste of my day off...frustrating....and I learned nothing new about my body...ugh.
