Dr. Heather Withington Harnly

The DR will give you a soft cast or boot that is not covered under your insurance. The DR and RWJ will give you the run around telling you it's not them. Why are you giving a soft cast or boot if not covered?

Dr.Harnly did not diagnose my son , he had a winged scapula which was easy to see but she never looked at his back . She only discussed the small tear in his labrum which was not causing his pain . We went to another much better orthopedic surgeon who easily found this problem . He was able to correct with physical therapy , no surgery needed to fix labrum tear which is what Heather Harnly spoke about upsetting my son terribly . She was also rude and only wanted my 16 year old son to speak in the room . We called her after seeing the Dr that found the problem and told her , She listened quietly and then replied , good luck to you and your son . Absolute worst experience with her .

Very compassionate! Made my daughter feel at ease the entire time!

So let me start off by saying this review is about her staff - I refused to follow up or see thsi doctor due to the staff you need to deal with prior to even getting to make an appointment with this doctor. The staff is uncaring, nasty and unaccomodating. They have absolutely no compassion towards parents going through traumatic times trying to get an appointment for their seriously injured child. I have now chose to drive 2 hours away to a ped ortho because the nast nurse and receptionist.

I wanted to say that Dr. Harnly is an excellent doctor! She is a true professional, and she knows what she is doing. She was very epathetic and made my daughter feel so much more at ease about her ACL tear. My daughter recovered in great amount of time and felt good about the method and decision we made regarding her surgery. Thank you, Dr. Harnly.
