Dr. Harry T Whelan

I saw Dr whelan with my son and like some of The reviews, he’s either great or awful. The first time he was great. The second time he was more preoccupied with filling out his DMV paperwork than our appt. Unfortunately, I heard how poor he was from other parents after we wasted our time.

Dr. Whelan managed my special needs son's care back in the 90's. My son had Intractable Epilepsy in which his seizures easily got out of control depending on factors such as medical crisis, nutritional status, sleep deprivation, medication levels, shunt functioning, etc. Dr. Whelan was able to manage my son's severe seizures to where they were at least tolerable and we could function as a family as "normally" as possible. Quite often it would take tedious screening and creative solutions, to which Dr. Whelan was quite adept. His medical knowledge and understanding of the human brain is quite exceptional. He also took the time to teach me what I needed to know to not only provide good care to my child, but also to be able to provide him the needed information to manage my child's seizures. Dr. Whelan is an exceptional neurologist and I can honestly say he gave my child the best care possible. Thank you, Dr. Whelan ...from Sammy Jo's mom!
