Dr. Guillermo A Philipps

For over 20 years I have worked in the medical field and never have I encountered such a dedicated doctor and staff. Dr. Phillips goes above and beyond for his patients and is extremely flexible in terms of doing right by his patients. His staff, especially Bonnie Begeman are truly exceptional and caring. Bonnie has given my patient 1000% of herself and bent over backwards to make sure the patient got what he needed and was safe. Kudos to you all. You are definitely an example to follow!! I knew instantly upon talking to him when my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at 2 that he was the doctor I wanted taking care of her needs. He is good at what he does and is great with kids. Compared to a lot of doctors I've seen for various things this is someone who truly cares about what they do and makes sure to answer any questions you might have. I had a choice to pick someone closer to me for my little girl to see but that three hour bus ride to get there to see Dr. G. Phillips is worth the time and effort spent getting there. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a little kid that needs his help. I would not hesitate to work with Dr. Guillermo Philipps when it comes to pediatric neurology. Clinically, we have shared many patients and families with different neurological and psychological conditions and I can testify that he is very qualified, knowledgable and most importantly, caring and emphatic. We had a negative experience with Dr. Phillips office today. I had an appointment for my son. We waited 3 months for this appointment. My son suffers from recurring headaches, and the school has communicated to us that he has fallen for unknown reasons. We drove 2 hours to Ft. Myers from our North Port home. We had difficulty with our GPS on Bass Road taking us to other locations. As a result, we arrived at the Doctors office about 5 minutes late. To our dismay, we were completely denied service

Met him when our child was admitted and immediately decided he was the right local Neurologist for us. It's been a few years and I don't regret it for a second. Living rare is hard and the unknown is frightening. It's a roller coaster and he always takes the time to guide us. I haven't always been the easiest parent to work with but he has not gave up on trying to help. I don't want to disclose too much on a public review about my child but let's just say he deserves huge credit for some progress that's been made, that we have struggled years to understand. He always tries to do what's best. He has no issues seeking answers and speaking with other professionals to help his patients. I have come to respect him and trust him a great deal. My child has a rare disorder and finding a good doctor has been hard. We met Dr. Philipps during a hospital stay and transferred to him immediately. We have not regretted it. He sees the whole picture and is willing to work with other specialist. It makes a difference for my child's well being and we respect him a great deal. Don't be late for appointments and always arrive 15 minutes for sign in and you won't have any problems. The wait times are not bad.

Dr. Philipps is knowledgeable along with being kind and caring with children. He always responds immediately to any request and he follows up thoroughly
