Gregory Mencio

We were referred to this office by our previous Dr that retired. It was an awful experience and I will never go back. The appointment time we had for our 2 YEAR OLD was at 9:00am. They ask for you to get there a few minutes early to make sure your information is all ready. We got there at 8:45am. We didn't get called back until 10:05am. I waited in a waiting room with my 2 year old for a total of 1 hour 20 minutes. They didn't really notice the time or ever apologize for the wait. After finally getting in the room, we quickly took x-rays and waited for Dr. Mencio. He came in and quickly discussed the X-rays and didn't even do a physical exam of her hips. He was in the room probably 5 minutes. Then we left. I didn't feel like I could ask questions and then as we were walking out, he mentioned in the hall something from her X-rays that to me was concerning but just moved along. Because of my daughters age, we now have to travel out of state for a second opinion. Not a good visit at all.

Doctor Mencio is the best of the best. He preformed surgery on me in 2010 and I will always be so thankful and blessed God placed him in my footsteps. I had a severely curved spine and God used him to straighten out my spine. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon or doctor along with his amazing friendly staff.

I will be forever grateful that Dr Mencio was on call that Christmas Eve when my son got hit by a car on his ATV.This surgeon not only fixed my son's broken pelvis but was so kind to my husband and I he is a great Dr.His professionalism & kindness didn't go unnoticed.

Dr. Mencio at Vanderbilt Pediatric Orthopedics is a very outstanding Dr. He has been great with my daughter and her scoliosis problems due h r having C.P. He has done very well and we are very happy

Dr. Mencio was amazing with our daughter. His surgical team is the best and the staff at Vanderbilt Childrens is unbeatable. She had surgery on a Friday and he came by to check on her each day over the weekend.

Be aware that if you do make an appointment with Dr. Mencio you could be waiting several hours after your appointment time to see him. My wife and son have been waiting 2 hours, so far. They had to reschedule another doctor's appointment because they haven't been seen by Dr. Mention yet. Be aware of overbooking!

The office never has any appts open to be seen in emergency cases! You only ever see him every six months. 2 times they forgot we were waiting in a room to be seen, we were waiting almost 2 hours. He barely looked at my daughter except for X-rays. Her scoliosis kept getting worse and his office kept saying just take Ibuprofen. Was not impressed with them at all!

Love this office, they took very good care of my daughter during after and before her scoliosis surgery.
