Malanoski won't see patients about Lyme Disease unless they have a current positive titer. The CDC says Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, meaning that it is based on the patient history, symptoms, and examination. The Lyme titer is notorious for false negatives. The Western Blot is more accurate, but doctors won't order it unless the titer is positive. And now doctors like Malanoski won't even see patients who have a negative titer. This is inexcusable in an area where Lyme is endemic.
