Dr criscuola was awesome, he was very informative what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix. On a late Thursday afternoon, he actually turned around from his way home and came back to the office, due to my primary care physician making a wrong diagnosis, his staff was great as well

Dr Criscuolo is the best surgeon that has operated on me. I have never had any problems. If you are looking for a great neurosurgeon he is the best.

Dr. Criscuolo is very thorough with all of his patients. He will find the problem and the best solution for the situation.

Doctor Gregory Criscuolo is a fantastic spine surgeon, I’d recommend him to anybody who is having spinal problems he is top of the line and knows what needs to be done Iv been a patient of his now going on 13 years , (I have degenerative disk disease ). I see him every 2 years to check on my back. But he fixes what I brake and I wouldn’t go to anybody else! By the Grace of God, Dr. Criscuolo has given me a second chance at life. I had sciatic pain on and off for twenty years. But the last five were critical. I didn’t have a life. My joy was taken and replaced with anger. I had two surgeries with another doctor that was not successful. Until my PCP (who is not affiliated with Hartford Hospital) told me about Dr. Criscuolo. She sent in the referral and I had little faith that this man could help me. A week later I received a phone call from Dr. Criscuolo and we talked about what he saw on the MRI and we talked about surgery. Well, here I am, six months later and the sciatic pain is gone. I’m able to move about without Every once in a while I do have lower back pain but it’s controlled with over the counter medication. I can not thank him enough, I also cannot thank God enough for bringing Dr. Criscuolo in my life!!! By the Grace of God, Dr. Criscuolo has given me a second chance at life. Awesome bedside manner, great at explaining what is wrong and how he can help. Office staff super nice. After 4 years of constant pain, I am able to do things again and Awesome surgeon. Dr Criscuolo was very thorough with me. He explained everything and after correcting c5,6,7 he freed the knot in my left shoulder.....and I have full range of motion! He is courteous and gentle. He is having to do c4,5 now this Sept. I trust his work totally. Thank you....Dr. Criscuolo

I was deeply concerned about my prognosis before meeting with Dr Criscuolo because I’m a full time personal trainer. My approach requires working with my clients. After our consultation I felt very able to manage my medical situation; moreover I feel that I have a strong resource in Dr. Criscuolo going forward so that I can continue to affect my clients goals and fitness needs and still respect my own health concerns. I was delightfully reassured upon talking with him that I can safely continue in the career I love doing what I love to do.His approach was to ask me what I thought and then explain clearly what my MRI results were and options to proceed with care. I felt cared for and advocated for as well. Big thanks to the staff who did my intake for making me feel like I’d been a patient for year. Dr. Criscuolo is amazing...I have had alot of lumbar and cervical neck problems and he has performed (3) lumbar surgeries and (3) cervical fusions. I couldn't even imagine seeing any other neurosurgeon. I'm blessed to have had him and his staff for my care. If you want a neurosurgeon who will keep it straight and 100% with u than be sure to call him now!!!

Dr. Criscuolo is great, however the staff isn't as friendly or compassionate. Unfortunately you need the staff for appointments , paperwork and other things. for these reasons I give a 3 star.

Bedside manner is mixed. I've had a successful fusion with him, but have been pushed off to other doctors who lived up to bad rep. Happy with past outcome, will try once before I go elsewhere

Compassionate and caring, excellent care

Cervical Operation C5-C6 + C6-C7 / Cervical Operation C3-C4 + C4-C5. Excellent communications, fully explains medical condition(s) so you understand (doesn't talk above your level), upfront and fully discusses diagnosis and plan of treatment(s), very polite, EXCELLENT bedside manners. I will finish with: I fully trust and would highly recommend Dr. Criscuolo to anyone looking for the best of the best - Hope this helps anyone and everyone and that you would feel the same / agree

I had a cervical fusion back in 2001 and since I have never felt better. Highly recommend Dr. Criscuolo.

He is an excellent surgeon. But if you have any problems a few years later ie: pain don't look to him for help . He will tell you to go to ER . Of course I'm talking 1990's maybe he has realized he needs to be more accessible. I would recommend him because he is an excellent surgeon but no bedside manner ..4.5 stars

Dr criscuolo and his staff are the best. He has done 2 surgeries on my back and no other neurologist will ever touch my back. Thank you so much. You are the best at what u do.

When I went to see doctor Criscuolo I was in terrible pain in my neck and arm. He did surgery and follow up I was nearly pain free . I was able to go back to work and resume a lifestyle I didn't think was possible. He and his staff were very kind before and after the surgery . It has been 22 years and i am feeling great ! I would recommend him to anyone needing back or neck surgery .
